“The Current has always flowed beneath creation. A Bloodborn is simply one of the rare souls who hears its call.”
The Bloodborn
Some spellcasters learn magic through years of disciplined study. Others receive it as a divine blessing or bargain for it with powerful beings beyond the Veil.
The Bloodborn awaken.
Hidden beneath creation flow the Primordial Currents, ancient forces whose origins predate kingdoms, civilizations, and perhaps even the gods themselves. Though sages debate their true nature, these Currents have long been associated with the Titans, the Giants, the Elemental Sovereigns, and the immortal dragons who willingly surrendered their eternal forms to embrace mortal life.
Most souls live their entire lives unaware these Currents exist.
A rare few hear them.
The awakening of a Bloodborn is never sought, never taught, and never fully understood. It often follows a moment of profound transformation: overwhelming joy, devastating loss, desperate battle, quiet revelation, or another event that forever alters the course of a life. In that instant, something ancient answers from beyond the Veil, and the awakened soul becomes a conduit through which primordial power briefly enters the mortal world.
Nearly every recorded awakening begins with the Draconic Current.
Whether this reflects the dragons’ ancient mastery of the Primordial Currents or simply the first voice mortal souls are capable of hearing remains one of Erosia’s oldest mysteries. As a Bloodborn grows in experience, deeper Currents may begin to answer—Currents associated with the Titans, Giants, Elemental Sovereigns, and perhaps powers still waiting to be discovered.
Unlike other spellcasters, a Bloodborn’s journey is not measured by how much magic they possess.
The Primordial Current is limitless.
Instead, each Bloodborn learns how completely they can channel that Current without losing harmony with themselves. Every spell cast, every lesson learned, and every Manifestation brings them one step closer to becoming a perfect conduit for powers older than history itself.
Where others master magic…
The Bloodborn masters the conduit.leep for centuries beneath the ordinary rhythms of mortal life. A dragon’s blessing shared with a devoted companion. A giant whose descendants carried the memory of the storm in their veins. A family forever changed after surviving the heart of a primordial cataclysm. A forgotten ancestor who walked beside a Sovereign when the world was still young.
Most such legacies fade into myth.
Yours did not.
You are Bloodborn—an heir to a primordial inheritance that has awakened within your blood. Where others study magic through years of discipline or receive it through divine favor and dangerous bargains, your power has always belonged to you. It is the echo of an ancient lineage stirring once more.
Your heritage allows you to draw upon Aether, the primordial essence woven through the Veil and all creation. As your power grows, so too does your connection to that ancient legacy. Every spell you cast carries traces of your ancestry, and every victory draws you closer to revealing the true majesty hidden within your blood.
No two Bloodborn awaken in quite the same way. One may carry the smoldering majesty of ancient dragons, another the crushing certainty of living mountains, while another bears the endless fury of the storm or the patient strength of the tides. Though their expressions differ, every Bloodborn shares the same truth: magic is not something they learned.
It is something they inherited.
Creating a Bloodborn
Every Bloodborn remembers their awakening.
For some, it came in a desperate moment when instinct reached beyond conscious thought. Others awakened through love, grief, triumph, discovery, or quiet contemplation. No two awakenings are ever identical, yet all leave the same certainty: something ancient has forever changed the course of their life.
As you create your Bloodborn, consider the following questions:
- What event awakened your connection to the Primordial Currents?
- How did your life change after your awakening?
- Do you embrace the Current, fear it, or seek to understand it?
- How does your Current subtly reveal itself when you cast magic?
- What does your character believe the Primordial Currents truly are?
Most Bloodborn discover those answers change as they grow.

The Nature of the Primordial Currents

Every class experiences Desire differently.
Warbound strengthen their Conviction through battle. Revelers transform emotion into Resonance. Stillhearts cultivate inner discipline. Pactsworn navigate the promises and obligations of their Patron.
The Bloodborn experiences Desire as Communion.
Each spell cast deepens the connection between conduit and Current. As Communion grows, more of the Primordial Current answers the Bloodborn’s call. Arousal represents this growing harmony between mortal and primordial, while Libido reflects the endurance of the mortal vessel itself.
The Primordial Current never diminishes.
Only the conduit determines how completely it may be expressed.
Manifestation
Every class experiences Climax differently.
For the Bloodborn, Climax is Manifestation.
When Communion reaches its peak, the Primordial Current briefly flows through the Bloodborn without restraint. For one transcendent moment, the distinction between conduit and Current nearly disappears as ancient power expresses itself through mortal hands.
Each Manifestation is unique. Some are subtle, little more than a whisper carried upon the Veil. Others reshape the battlefield with impossible displays of primordial authority. Regardless of its form, every Bloodborn remembers their first Manifestation—and spends the rest of their life learning how to channel more of the limitless Current that answered their awakening.
Flux
The Primordial Current possesses limitless potential. Flux represents your ability to consciously shape it. Flux is not magical power itself. Rather, it reflects your mastery over the Current flowing through your soul, allowing you to refine spells through Metamagic, transform magical energy into new expressions, and guide ancient forces with ever-increasing precision.
The greatest Bloodborn are not those who possess the most power. They are those who have learned to channel it with perfect harmony.
Spellcasting

1st-Level Bloodborn Feature
The Primordial Currents answer your soul, allowing you to shape arcane magic through instinct rather than study. Your spells are not memorized formulae or borrowed miracles, but deliberate expressions of the Current flowing through you.
Cantrips
You know four cantrips of your choice from the Bloodborn spell list. You learn additional Bloodborn cantrips as shown on the Bloodborn table.
Spell Slots
The Bloodborn table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Bloodborn spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a spell slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a Long Rest.
Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher
At 1st level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the Bloodborn spell list (Sorcerer). The Bloodborn table shows when you learn additional Bloodborn spells. Whenever you gain a Bloodborn level, you may replace one Bloodborn spell you know with another spell from the Bloodborn spell list for which you have spell slots.
Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your Bloodborn spells, as your force of personality determines how effectively you channel the Primordial Current.
Spell Save DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell Attack Modifier = your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spellcasting Focus
You may use an arcane focus or a component pouch as your spellcasting focus.
Flux
1st-Level Bloodborn Feature
The Primordial Current is limitless. Your ability to shape it is not. Your mastery over the Current is represented by Flux Points. Flux Points function identically to Sorcery Points. The Bloodborn table shows how many Flux Points you have. You regain all expended Flux Points when you finish a Long Rest. Beginning at 5th level, you instead regain all expended Flux Points whenever you finish a Short or Long Rest. You use Flux Points to:
- Fuel Metamagic.
- Create spell slots.
- Convert spell slots into Flux Points.
- Activate Bloodborn class features.
Manifestation
1st-Level Bloodborn Feature
Every class experiences Climax differently. For the Bloodborn, Climax is Manifestation.
Each spell you cast deepens your Communion with the Primordial Current flowing through your soul. When that Communion reaches its peak, the Current briefly flows through you without restraint, transforming your next spell into a pure expression of primordial power.
Whenever you Climax, your next Bloodborn spell cast before the end of your next turn becomes Manifested. Choose one of the following Manifestation benefits when you cast the spell:
- Add your Proficiency Bonus to one damage or healing roll made by the spell.
- Gain Advantage on one spell attack roll made as part of the spell.
- The first creature to make a saving throw against the spell does so with Disadvantage.
- The spell ignores Resistance to one damage type it deals.
After the spell resolves, Manifestation immediately ends.
Veiled Play. Instead of the benefits above, the Manifested spell either gains Advantage on one spell attack roll or imposes Disadvantage on the first EROS Save caused by that spell. Choose the benefit when you cast the spell.
Unveiled Play. Manifestation resolves immediately after your Climax and before any other effects caused by that Climax.
Metamagic
2nd-Level Bloodborn Feature
As your mastery of the Primordial Current deepens, you learn to shape your magic with extraordinary precision. By directing Flux through your spells, you can alter their form, duration, reach, or potency beyond what other spellcasters consider possible. You learn two Metamagic options of your choice. You learn one additional Metamagic option at 10th level and again at 17th level.
Whenever you gain a Bloodborn level, you may replace one Metamagic option you know with another Metamagic option for which you qualify. You can use only one Metamagic option on a spell unless a Metamagic option specifically states otherwise.
Primordial Current
3rd-Level Bloodborn Feature
Although nearly every Bloodborn first awakens through the Draconic Current, no conduit follows the same path forever. As your Communion deepens, one Primordial Current begins to answer your soul more clearly than the others. That Current shapes your understanding of primordial magic and forever influences the way you Manifest its power.
Choose a Primordial Current. Your chosen Current grants features at 3rd level and again at 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th level. The following Primordial Currents are presented in this book:
- Draconic Current
- Titan Current
- Giant Current
- Sovereign Current
Each Primordial Current offers a unique philosophy of channeling ancient power while preserving the same fundamental relationship between conduit and Current.
Ability Score Improvement
4th-Level Bloodborn Feature
When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you cannot increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Font of Flux
5th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your growing harmony with the Primordial Current allows you to guide greater expressions of primordial power with practiced precision. You now regain all expended Flux Points whenever you finish a Short or Long Rest. In addition, whenever you roll Initiative and have no Flux Points remaining, you immediately regain a number of Flux Points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Greater Manifestation
5th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your Manifestations become more complete, allowing the Primordial Current to answer your call with greater clarity. Whenever you Manifest, choose two Manifestation benefits instead of one. You cannot choose the same benefit more than once unless that benefit specifically states otherwise.
In addition, your Manifested spell ignores half cover and three-quarters cover.
Veiled Play. If your Manifested spell requires one or more creatures to make an EROS Save before the start of your next turn, those creatures have Disadvantage on the first EROS Save they make against that spell.
Unveiled Play. If your Manifested spell causes one or more creatures to gain Arousal, choose one affected creature. That creature gains 1 additional Arousal.
Primordial Current Feature
6th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your chosen Primordial Current grants an additional feature at 6th level.
Conduit Mastery
7th-Level Bloodborn Feature
The Primordial Current answers your guidance with increasing ease. Your mastery over Flux allows you to shape powerful magic while maintaining perfect control. Once on each of your turns when you expend one or more Flux Points, choose one of the following benefits:
- Gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
- Increase your Speed by 10 feet until the end of your turn.
- Gain Advantage on the next Constitution saving throw you make to maintain Concentration before the start of your next turn.
You may benefit from Conduit Mastery only once per turn.
Ability Score Improvement
8th-Level Bloodborn Feature
When you reach 8th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you cannot increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Primordial Communion
9th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your awareness of the Primordial Currents extends beyond your own conduit, allowing you to recognize their presence throughout the world. You gain the following benefits:
- You have Advantage on Intelligence checks made to identify or understand primordial phenomena, including the Primordial Currents, Titans, Giants, Dracari, Elemental Sovereigns, and relics or locations touched by their power.
- You can sense the presence of powerful primordial magic within 60 feet of you, even if it is hidden behind mundane barriers. This sense reveals only the presence of a Primordial Current, not its exact source or location.
- Whenever you finish a Long Rest, you may replace one Bloodborn spell you know with another spell from the Bloodborn spell list for which you have spell slots.
Primordial Current Feature
10th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your chosen Primordial Current grants an additional feature at 10th level.
Perfect Manifestation
10th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your harmony with the Primordial Current deepens, allowing it to express itself more fully through your magic. Whenever you Manifest, choose three Manifestation benefits instead of one. In addition, after your Manifested spell resolves, choose one of the following effects:
- Regain Flux Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
- Gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Bloodborn level.
- End one effect causing you to be Charmed or Frightened.
- Teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
You cannot exceed your maximum Flux Points when regaining Flux Points with this feature.
Veiled Play. If your Manifested spell requires one or more creatures to make an EROS Save before the start of your next turn, affected creatures have Disadvantage on the first EROS Save they make against that spell.
Unveiled Play. If your Manifested spell causes one or more creatures to gain Arousal, choose one affected creature. That creature either gains 1 additional Arousal or immediately attempts an EROS Save. You choose which effect occurs.
Primordial Current Feature
11th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your chosen Primordial Current grants an additional feature at 11th level.
Ability Score Improvement
12th-Level Bloodborn Feature
When you reach 12th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you cannot increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Harmonized Conduit
13th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your body and soul have become increasingly harmonious with the Primordial Current, allowing your magic to flow with remarkable efficiency. Whenever you expend one or more Flux Points during your turn, you gain one of the following benefits until the start of your next turn:
- Your walking speed increases by 15 feet.
- You gain a bonus to Constitution saving throws made to maintain Concentration equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1).
- You gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus.
You may benefit from Harmonized Conduit only once each turn.
Primordial Current Feature
14th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your chosen Primordial Current grants an additional feature at 14th level.
Flux Mastery
15th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your mastery over Flux approaches perfection. Once during each of your turns, when you apply Metamagic to a Bloodborn spell, reduce the Flux Point cost by 1 (minimum of 1). In addition, whenever you finish a Short Rest, you may replace one Metamagic option you know with another Metamagic option for which you qualify.
Ability Score Improvement
16th-Level Bloodborn Feature
When you reach 16th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you cannot increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Primordial Apotheosis
17th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your Manifestation becomes a legendary expression of the Primordial Current. Whenever you Manifest, choose four Manifestation benefits instead of three. In addition, your Manifested spell gains all of the following benefits:
- The spell ignores Resistance and treats Immunity as Resistance against one damage type it deals.
- If the spell requires one or more spell attack rolls, you have Advantage on each of those rolls.
- If the spell requires one or more saving throws, creatures have Disadvantage on the first saving throw made against the spell.
- Add your Charisma modifier to one damage or healing roll made by the spell.
After resolving the spell, immediately regain Flux Points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You cannot exceed your Flux Point maximum.
Veiled Play. Creatures affected by your Manifested spell have Disadvantage on the first EROS Save they make against any effect created by that spell before the end of your next turn.
Unveiled Play. If your Manifested spell causes one or more creatures to gain Arousal, choose one affected creature. That creature gains 2 additional Arousal or immediately attempts an EROS Save. You choose which effect occurs.
Primordial Current Feature
18th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your chosen Primordial Current grants an additional feature at 18th level.
Ability Score Improvement
19th-Level Bloodborn Feature
When you reach 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Living Conduit

20th-Level Bloodborn Feature
Your mortal vessel has achieved perfect harmony with the Primordial Current. Your connection to the Current is effortless, allowing ancient power to flow through you with unmatched harmony. You gain the following benefits:
- Whenever you roll Initiative and have fewer than half your maximum Flux Points remaining, you immediately regain Flux Points until you possess half your maximum Flux Points.
- Once on each of your turns, you may apply one Metamagic option you know to a Bloodborn spell without expending Flux Points.
- The first time you Manifest during each combat, you immediately regain one expended spell slot of 5th level or lower after your Manifested spell resolves.
Veiled Play. During your first Manifestation each combat, creatures have Disadvantage on the first EROS Save they make against one of your Bloodborn spells before the end of your next turn.
Unveiled Play. During your first Manifestation each combat, reduce the Libido cost of your Climax by 1 (minimum 0). All other effects of Climax occur normally.
