Service workers association and mutual aid society · Inns temples and pleasure districts
The Fellowship gives overlooked labor a collective voice. It arranges sick pay, safe lodging after dismissal, shared laundering facilities and representation over withheld wages. Its ambition is written service agreements with protected rest and a right to leave employment without losing a home overnight.
Moral character: Good and reform minded. Individual members may disagree with their organization’s conduct.
Leadership & control
Each participating workplace chooses a delegate by confidential ballot. Delegates elect a spokesperson for one season. speaker Pell Arwick, a middle-aged Lapinari man and former laundry steward, remembers every colleague who carried his workload during illness. He wants dignity for workers but can mistake compromise for disloyalty.
Faith & moral tensions
Many honor Solynth because chosen service has meaning; others distrust temple rhetoric used to request unpaid labor. The Fellowship welcomes both. It does not claim that every employer is an oppressor. Its moral test is whether it protects workers at an unpopular establishment as readily as those in a beloved sanctuary.
Resources & membership
Small dues, shared laundries and benefit suppers support the relief purse. Membership follows work, not ancestry or devotional role. Donations buy no votes. Wealthy benefactors repeatedly attempt to turn emergency gifts into influence.
Daily life & internal tensions
A folded yellow cloth marks a safe place to ask about missing wages. Fellowship cooks maintain a quiet meal for workers finishing after midnight. Some members favor a districtwide strike; others cannot survive even a brief interruption. A strike plan that abandons infirm guests would also violate members’ convictions.
Allies, rivals & shared pressures
- The Plainspoken Table — Advocates help workers understand and contest service agreements.
- The Fellowship of the Resting Hand — Respite for caregivers must include fair treatment of relief staff.
- The Open Door Office — Unsafe shifts and neglected premises can be parts of one dispute.

Adventure seed
An employer blames a missing payroll on theft by cleaners. Pell has evidence of financial trouble but needs the accounts authenticated. The Plainspoken Table offers representation; the Common Hearth Ledger can trace a diverted municipal payment. The party’s success may save jobs without saving the owner’s control.
