Talyssan extremist movement · Orchards estates and desperate farming districts

The Communion promises a world without fallow ground, fading flowers or interrupted harvests. It begins by restoring ruined plots and persuading people that limits are imposed by timid priests. Its ambition is an unbroken living garden sustained by expanding rituals whose long-term cost it refuses to measure.

Moral character: Harmful zealotry with redeemable members. Individual members may disagree with their organization’s conduct.

Leadership & control

Flower-Speaker Ambrin Leth, a mature Greenward woman, claims unique insight into Talyss’s will. Regional choirs repeat her teachings and send tribute to her demonstration orchard. No reliable succession exists; rival interpreters are already collecting followers. Ambrin’s real grief is a famine she survived and cannot accept as something power might fail to prevent.

Faith & moral tensions

Many recruits sincerely love Talyss. The movement corrupts her by treating every pause as betrayal and every limit as cruelty. It pressures farmers to pledge future crops and exhausts shared soil. Fertility symbolism need not involve reproductive plots; the central conflict works entirely through land, labor and hunger.

Resources & membership

Miraculous early yields attract donations and long harvest contracts. Villages gain entry by committing plots and workers. Dependence deepens when ordinary seed stocks are discarded. The leadership conceals failing soil and blames dissent for weakening the blessing.

Daily life & internal tensions

Flowers remain bright after neighboring orchards enter dormancy. Workers quietly fall asleep beside channels that must run through the night. A younger choir wants a season of rest; Ambrin fears that any pause will unravel the public promise. The Last Seed Covenant can offer a recovery path.

Roots from the demonstration orchard enter public cisterns. Destroying the orchard would stop the immediate spread and erase the district’s chief food supply. The party must arrange emergency provisions, persuade workers to leave safely and bring in ecological expertise before confronting the leaders who concealed the cost.
