Description
You regulate the tension in your muscles until each impact becomes a chance to regain your footing. For the duration, when a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the attack’s damage by 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum reduction of 1). After the attack resolves, you may move up to 5 feet without provoking opportunity attacks from the attacker. You cannot use this movement while your speed is 0.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage reduction increases by 1d6 for each two slot levels above 2nd (3d6 at 6th level, for example).
- Veiled Effects. If you use the spell’s reaction and end the movement adjacent to a willing ally, that ally gains advantage on the next Strength (Athletics) check it makes before the end of its next turn.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, when you use the spell’s reaction, you may spend 1 Libido to increase that instance of damage reduction by 1d6. If your Arousal is 3 or higher, you may also reduce it by 1 after the attack resolves.
“A body is not a wall. It is a door that decides how force may pass.”
