Description
Up to four willing creatures within range take on the illusory outward appearance of ordinary humanoids of the same size category, each chosen by its player. Clothing and carried equipment may appear different but physical dimensions do not change. A creature can use an action to inspect an illusion, making an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC; on a success, it sees through that disguise. Physical contact reveals discrepancies normally. The spell does not confer a specific person’s voice or memories.
At Higher Levels. Add one willing creature per slot above 4th.
Velvet Court Devotion. Cyrillith. Cyrillith’s devotees treat borrowed appearances as consensual roleplay, costume and rehearsal, not ownership of another person’s identity.
Devotional Rite. When a willing target drops its disguise, it may make the discarded image bow theatrically before vanishing; this lasts until the end of its turn and has no effect on checks or saving throws.
- Veiled Effects. A protected creature may dismiss only its own disguise without ending the spell for others.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, if a disguise successfully helps a willing creature avoid an active, dangerous pursuer, you may gain 1 Arousal; if you do, that creature can reduce its Arousal by 1. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido at casting to allow the disguised targets to imitate voices they already know.
