Description
A ribbed ladder of harmless ivory-colored cartilage rises from a solid surface you can see, reaching up to 30 feet high. It supports up to six Medium creatures at once and offers normal climbing without a check unless weather or attackers interfere. A creature can use an action to tear out a five-foot section with a successful Strength (Athletics) check against your spell save DC; the ladder has AC 12 and 20 hit points. If destroyed or when the spell ends, it dissolves, and creatures on it fall normally.
At Higher Levels. A slot of 3rd level or higher increases its maximum height by 10 feet and hit points by 10 per slot above 2nd.
Velvet Court Devotion. Talyss. Talyss’s fertility celebrations use this ribbed ladder as a comic promise that living things can grow higher than their plans.
Devotional Rite. A willing creature climbing the ladder can make its next rung briefly blossom under its foot. The flower withers after the creature passes and cannot support additional weight.
- Veiled Effects. A willing creature on the ladder has advantage on its first ability check to avoid falling before the spell ends.
- Unveiled Effects. When a willing creature uses the ladder to escape a genuine pursuit or hazardous elevation, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, that creature gains temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. Once per casting.
