Description
You create two linked, shimmering doorways in unoccupied 10-foot-wide spaces you can see within 90 feet of you. One must be within range; the second may appear at a location on the same plane within 10 miles that you have personally visited and can recall accurately. Each doorway is 10 feet tall and remains fixed in place. A willing creature of your choice passing through either doorway emerges from the other in an unoccupied safe space nearest the destination, using 5 feet of movement. You may permit or revoke any creature’s passage without an action, but you cannot compel entry. Each creature can traverse the passage at most once per turn. The spell provides no cross-planar travel or access to an unseen or unfamiliar destination. When concentration ends, both doorways vanish immediately.
Velvet Court Devotion. Zenthira. Zenthira’s secret library is a sanctuary for unusual desires, intimate confidences and the right to keep a private history private.
Devotional Rite. A willing traveler may choose that its passage through a doorway leaves no visible magical afterimage. This does not conceal the traveler, prevent mundane tracking, or erase memories of witnesses.
- Veiled Effects. The threshold displays the name of its destination in a language of your choice visible to willing creatures that you have permitted to pass; the displayed words grant no additional knowledge.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, when willing creatures use the doorways to escape a genuine imminent disaster or hostile pursuit, you may gain 1 Arousal after the first successful escape. If you do, one escaping willing creature may reduce its Arousal by 1. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido when casting to increase the maximum separation between doorways to 20 miles. You may not combine these options.
“The final library never asks why a traveler came. Only whether they choose to leave.”
