Description
A lance of crystalline bone erupts from your hand in a line 60 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking 7d8 piercing damage on a failure or half as much on a success. The lance passes through creatures without carrying them, and it damages unattended fragile objects at the DM’s discretion.
At Higher Levels. Damage increases by 1d8 per slot above 4th.
Velvet Court Devotion. Threxia. Threxia’s artists see the spear as an impossible temporary body ornament projected into battle: a sharp outline, not an unwanted tattoo.
Devotional Rite. After the attack resolves, any willing creature in the line may let a harmless translucent piercing-like ornament briefly appear on its clothing or armor. The ornament vanishes at the end of its next turn and gives no defensive bonus.
- Veiled Effects. After the lance resolves, harmless crystal markers outline the line for one round, allowing allies to perceive its exact path.
- Unveiled Effects. When the lance damages at least one hostile creature during a real encounter, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, one failed-save target has its speed reduced by 10 feet until the end of your next turn. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido to change half the piercing damage to force damage. Do not combine these options.
