Description

Choose up to five willing creatures within range. Each becomes lightly obscured by a shifting illusory double that occupies its space. The first attack roll made against each target on a round by an attacker relying on ordinary sight has disadvantage. This protection ends for a target when it attacks a creature, forces an unwilling creature to make a saving throw, or becomes unwilling. Creatures with truesight ignore the doubles. The doubles do not make their owners invisible.

Velvet Court Devotion. Cyrillith. Cyrillith’s doubles are the height of voluntary masquerade and roleplay; the best illusion lets the performer decide which self takes the bow.

Devotional Rite. A willing target may designate one visible double as its ‘stage persona.’ Once during this spell after an attack misses that target, the double can bow and then vanish for that target only. This does not end protection for other targets or impose new conditions.

  • Veiled Effects. When an attacker misses a protected target, that target may use its reaction to move 5 feet without provoking opportunity attacks from that attacker.
  • Unveiled Effects. Once during the spell, when an attacker misses a willing target because of the disadvantage imposed by this spell, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, that target may reduce its Arousal by 1. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido when casting to increase the target limit to six. Choose one enhancement.
