Description
You ward one room no larger than a 30-foot cube. Divination spells of 3rd level or lower cast from outside the room cannot locate a willing creature inside it or read words written there. A caster using a higher-level divination may attempt a spellcasting ability check against your spell save DC, succeeding normally on a success. The ward is fixed to the room; it does not conceal entryways or stop mundane observation.
Velvet Court Devotion. Zenthira. Zenthira’s keeper-scribes safeguard intimate confessions and specific private fantasies. The archive does not decide what its guests ought to reveal.
Devotional Rite. A willing visitor may ask for its own written note to be exempt from the ward by touching it; that note is then subject to divination normally until the spell ends, but no other item loses protection.
- Veiled Effects. Creatures inside the ward can see a faint crescent mark at its boundary; outsiders cannot see the mark.
- Unveiled Effects. Once during the duration when the ward successfully blocks a real attempt at magical surveillance, you may gain 1 Arousal if you remain inside it. If you do, one willing creature present may reduce its Arousal by 1. No gain occurs for staged or harmless attempts.
“Some books are protected by the silence around them.”
