Description
The triggering creature instead drops to 1 hit point and gains 5d8 temporary hit points. Choose up to three other willing creatures within 30 feet of it; each may use its reaction to move up to 15 feet toward the protected creature without provoking opportunity attacks. The spell does not prevent instantaneous death from massive damage, and the triggering creature must be alive and capable of benefiting from healing. The temporary hit points last for one minute.
Velvet Court Devotion. Velyssara. Velyssara’s first-bloom rescuers believe closeness can be a sanctuary freely offered; the magic does not create affection where none existed.
Devotional Rite. Once per casting, the willing creature saved from 0 hit points may choose to gain 1 Arousal after the spell resolves. If it does, it may transfer 1d8 of its temporary hit points from this spell to one other willing creature within 15 feet. Roll the transferred amount, subtract that amount from the donor’s temporary hit points, and grant it to the recipient. No additional action is needed.
- Veiled Effects. After being saved, the triggering creature may immediately repeat a saving throw against being frightened, ending the effect on itself on a success.
- Unveiled Effects. When this spell prevents another willing creature from falling unconscious, you may gain 1 Arousal after resolving its effects. If you do, the saved creature may reduce its Arousal by 1. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido when casting to grant an additional 2d8 temporary hit points. Choose only one enhancement.
