Description
Choose up to three willing creatures within range. Their footsteps become faint, while false tracks appear on surfaces that ordinarily hold impressions up to 10 feet away from their actual paths. Each target adds +5 to Dexterity (Stealth) checks to move quietly or evade tracking by mundane footprints. The spell grants neither invisibility nor protection from scent or truesight.
At Higher Levels. Add one willing target for each slot above 3rd.
Velvet Court Devotion. Delavira. Delavira’s lingering-glance rites sometimes make pursuit an exercise in chosen visibility, allowing the protected wanderer to decide when to be seen.
Devotional Rite. Once per casting, a willing target may make its false tracks especially conspicuous until the start of its next turn. During that time, enemies have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to follow its tracks, but a different willing protected creature has advantage on its next Dexterity (Stealth) check to hide from a tracker distracted by them. No target can be forced to volunteer.
- Veiled Effects. Each target chooses whether its false tracks resemble bare feet or boots, but they cannot mimic the unique tracks of an individual.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, when the spell helps a target escape an active pursuer, you may gain 1 Arousal; if you do, that willing target may reduce its Arousal by 1. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido when casting to increase one target’s bonus to +7. These options do not stack.
“A path need not lie when it may simply be forgotten.”
