Description
A 40-foot-square network of red, living-looking corridors erupts on ground you can see. The walls rise 15 feet and divide the square into four connected passages, each at least 5 feet wide; you choose the arrangement when casting. Creatures may climb the walls with a successful Strength (Athletics) check against your spell save DC. Walls are opaque, have AC 15 and 30 hit points per 10-foot section, and collapse when reduced to 0. When the maze appears, creatures in its area move to the nearest legal corridor space without taking damage. The walls are stationary, offer full cover, and cannot occupy another creature’s space.
Velvet Court Devotion. Threxia. Threxia’s devotees imagine the labyrinth as an enormous temporary anatomical tattoo across the land, a celebration of chosen flesh-art and its delightful inaccuracies.
Devotional Rite. One willing creature you designated to know the layout may choose to make a harmless sigil trace its skin or armor when it enters a corridor. This trace fades after one round and reveals no hidden path to an enemy.
- Veiled Effects. Choose up to four willing creatures when casting; each immediately knows the corridor layout until the spell ends.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, when an enemy attacks or breaks a wall section to pursue a willing ally, you may gain 1 Arousal after the attack. If you do, that section gains temporary hit points equal to twice your proficiency bonus unless destroyed. No extra benefit occurs for staged damage.
“Every labyrinth begins as a map someone believed they understood.”
