Revel of the Burning Dance

Lore Overview
“Do not follow the music. Become the place where it is going.”
The Burning Dance teaches that passion is motion. Its Revelers do not stand apart from the emotional current of an encounter; they move through it, building speed, confidence and intensity until performance and instinct become indistinguishable.
Their Crescendo is physical as much as emotional. Every turn, pivot and rush feeds the next. Resonance becomes momentum, momentum becomes pressure and pressure eventually erupts into release.

Flowing Performance
3rd-Level Subclass Feature
The next step carries the next heartbeat.
Once per turn, when you expend a Resonance Die on a Technique, you may move up to 10 feet without provoking Opportunity Attacks. If you end within 5 feet of a willing creature, it may add your Charisma modifier (minimum +1) to one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw before the start of your next turn. You can grant this bonus only once per round.
Veiled Play. You or that creature may also gain 1 Arousal; choose only one willing recipient.
Unveiled Play. You and the willing creature may each reduce your own Arousal by 1. This grants no Arousal increase.
Passing Rhythm
3rd-Level Subclass Feature
Passion travels on a shared step.
Once on your turn after you move at least 20 feet using your movement, your next single-target Resonance Technique that turn may affect a second eligible creature within 15 feet of its target, subject to the Technique’s normal range and targeting requirements. Use one die result for both. This cannot add a target to a Technique already expanded by another feature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest.
Veiled Play. One willing affected creature may gain 1 Arousal while the other may reduce its Arousal by 1. Each decides independently.
Unveiled Play. One willing affected creature may transfer 1 Arousal to the other if both agree and the giver has at least 1 Arousal. If this triggers Climax, regain the Resonance Die spent on the Technique, at most once per round.
Rite of the Banked Flame
3rd-Level Subclass Feature
Steps slow until the flame can be carried safely.
Lead a 10-minute movement ritual. Choose up to your Proficiency Bonus willing participants; each gains Advantage on one Acrobatics or Performance check within the next hour. A participant can benefit once per Long Rest.
Veiled Play. Each chosen participant may reduce its Arousal by 1.
Unveiled Play. You may spend 1 Libido to restore 1 Libido to one other willing chosen participant, up to its maximum. This grants no Arousal reduction.
Escalating Tempo
6th-Level Subclass Feature
Hold the rhythm, then decide what the heat becomes.
While in Crescendo, once on each of your turns after moving at least 20 feet using your movement without reentering a space you occupied that turn, enhance the next Technique you use that turn: add your Proficiency Bonus to its Resonance Die result, or let one willing target move up to 10 feet without provoking Opportunity Attacks. This does not accumulate between turns.
Once per round while in Crescendo, when you or a willing creature within 30 feet Climaxes, you may use your Reaction after the Climax resolves to let that creature move up to half its Speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks. You cannot use this Reaction while Incapacitated.
Veiled Play. After enhancing a Technique, you may gain 1 Arousal.
Unveiled Play. When you use the Climax reaction, you may spend 1 Libido to let one other willing creature within 30 feet move 10 feet without opportunity attacks. This cost follows normal Climax resolution and grants no voluntary Arousal increase after a Technique.
Unbroken Motion
10th-Level Subclass Feature
A faltering step can become a turn.
While in Crescendo, difficult terrain costs you no extra movement, standing from Prone costs only 5 feet, and you have Advantage on checks and saves to avoid or escape Grappled or Restrained.
Once per round, when you pass within 5 feet of a willing creature during your movement, it may move up to 5 feet without provoking Opportunity Attacks. A creature cannot trigger this movement again through movement granted by this feature.
Veiled Play. The creature moved may reduce its Arousal by 1, once per Short or Long Rest.
Unveiled Play. The moving creature may transfer 1 Arousal to you if both agree, it has at least 1, and you can gain it within the normal per-turn limit. It can receive this benefit once per short or long rest; resolve Climax immediately at 6.
Rhythm Without End
14th-Level Subclass Feature
Release opens the road for everyone who hears it.
When you trigger Grand Crescendo, each willing creature affected may move up to half its Speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks. This movement does not stack with Crescendo of Motion; use either grant, not both. Choose up to your Charisma modifier affected creatures (minimum one). Each gains a temporary die equal to your Resonance Die, usable once on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw before the end of its next turn. It cannot fuel Techniques or count as expending your class dice.
If at least two affected creatures actually move 15 feet or more through this feature, regain one expended Resonance Die, once per Grand Crescendo.
Veiled Play. After its movement, each affected creature may gain or reduce its Arousal by 1.
Unveiled Play. Once per long rest, when you regain a Resonance Die through this feature, you may also regain 1 Libido up to your maximum. This grants no Arousal adjustment.
Desire Identity
Burning Dance converts movement into rising Arousal and turns release into coordinated motion. It is a mobile support controller: the dancer crosses the battlefield to carry emotional pressure between companions, spending Libido only when an extra surge is worth its endurance cost. Its ritual slows that same rhythm into recovery. Without Desire, its cycle of approach, escalation, and release is lost.
Limits and agency. The normal limit of 3 Arousal gained during one turn applies; no feature here bypasses it. Resolve each Climax completely before any subsequent Arousal change. A feature cannot trigger itself directly or through another copy of the same feature. One event can restore no more than one Resonance Die through this subclass, in addition to restoration expressly granted by the Reveler class. Restoring dice never exceeds your class maximum. All allied Arousal changes, transfers, movement, and bonds require the affected creature’s agreement. These mechanics never determine attraction, consent, or permanent feelings. An EROSave uses the target’s choice of Constitution or Wisdom, including normal saving throw proficiency, against 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma modifier unless a feature specifies otherwise.
Classic Play. Use the shared feature text. Ignore Arousal and Libido instructions, and use Wisdom saves in place of EROSaves. Once per Long Rest, entering Crescendo may trigger your Grand Crescendo and its subclass improvements without requiring Climax. Desire remains the defining loop in Veiled and Unveiled Play; Classic Play is its separate adaptation.
Play Modes and Desire Resolution
Classic Play. Use the baseline feature and any expressly stated Classic alternative, without Arousal or Libido. A feature that only modifies Desire has no additional Classic effect.
Veiled Play. Use the baseline and the feature’s Veiled paragraph. Add each stated Arousal gain to the creature’s current total; never assign Composed, Stirred, or Overwhelmed or replace its existing pressure. Resolve Climax immediately at 6. Do not use the Unveiled paragraph.
Unveiled Play. Use the baseline and the feature’s Unveiled paragraph, together with the website’s full Arousal, Libido, Climax, and Depletion rules. Do not inherit the Veiled paragraph. A Libido expenditure requires enough Libido to pay it. Spending the final point does not disable benefits without a Libido cost.
Each feature retains its stated actions, targets, duration, resource costs, and recharge. Changing play modes restores no uses. A gain-dependent benefit requires the Arousal actually to be gained. Unless explicitly excepted, a creature gains at most 3 Arousal per turn; reductions cannot go below 0. Resolve Climax before continuing a feature or applying any after-Climax benefit: the applicable Climax Effect, 1 Libido loss where tracked, Arousal reset to 0, then applicable aftermath triggers. Healing and Exhaustion occur only when an applicable rule grants or imposes them. An EROSave is the creature’s choice of Constitution or Wisdom saving throw, including proficiency only if proficient in that save. Basic Desire Actions retain their one-per-round limit unless an explicit feature overrides it.
Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, this subclass’s EROSave DC is 8 + PB + your Charisma modifier. PB means proficiency bonus.
