Summoner

The Summoner

“The ignorant believe we summon the Primordial Titans. We do not. For one impossible moment, they simply choose to answer.”
Inscription recovered from the First Titan Shrine

Few living souls ever witness a Primordial Titan. Older than the gods worshiped by mortals and older than the civilizations that now cover the face of Erosia, these ancient beings were entrusted with the elemental domains that gave shape to the newborn world. The first mountains rose beneath the patient strength of Ragnarox. The first flame answered the will of Pyraxis. The endless seas gathered beneath the gaze of Aqueos, while Areos awakened the skies with wind, thunder, and storm. Umbra granted creation its first night, and Sol answered with the first dawn. Though countless generations have passed since the Titans first walked openly across the world, their presence remains woven into every mountain, every ember, every crashing wave, every gathering storm, every lengthening shadow, and every sunrise.

Most people know the Primordial Titans only through legend. Priests speak of them as sacred figures from the earliest days of creation. Historians preserve fragments of civilizations that claimed to witness their passing. Sailors whisper prayers when impossible waves rise beneath their vessels, while travelers crossing ancient mountain ranges leave quiet offerings where the oldest stone still bears marks no mortal hand could have carved. Across every culture, stories endure of impossible moments when the world itself seemed to remember its oldest masters. Few dismiss such tales entirely, yet fewer still believe a mortal could survive the direct touch of primordial creation.

Those who do are known as Titan-Touched.

Every Summoner’s story begins the same way—with the day they should have died.

Long before they cast their first Titan spell or witness their first Manifestation, every Titan-Touched survivor endures a Primordial Awakening: a cataclysmic natural event that no ordinary mortal could survive. A village disappears beneath a volcanic eruption, yet one child walks unharmed from the cooling stone. A mountain collapses without warning, burying an entire expedition while a lone traveler emerges untouched. A hurricane erases a coastline, but one survivor stands where the storm’s eye passed overhead. Others awaken beneath impossible tidal waves, ancient glaciers, consuming darkness, or blinding celestial radiance. Though the catastrophes differ, every Primordial Awakening shares the same impossible truth. One life continues where every law of nature insists it should have ended.

The catastrophe does not grant the gift. It reveals it.

During the Primordial Awakening, the survivor becomes consciously aware of a bond that had always existed between their soul and one of the Primordial Titans. That Titan becomes their Awakening Titan, forever marking the beginning of their journey. The event leaves behind a permanent change known as a Primordial Mark, a visible or invisible reminder that the survivor has already endured the impossible once before. No scholar has ever discovered why one individual awakens while countless others perish beneath the same disaster. The mystery remains one of the oldest unanswered questions in Erosia.

No kingdom can create a Summoner, and no institution has ever succeeded in teaching another how to become one. The Primordial Awakening cannot be manufactured, inherited, purchased, or earned through study, devotion, or political authority. It reveals only those rare souls whose lives already resonate with the primordial foundations of creation. Because of this, Summoners are among the rarest individuals in the world. Most people live their entire lives without knowingly meeting one.

The bond that follows does not place the Primordial Titans beneath mortal command. A Summoner cannot compel a Titan’s obedience, bargain for its service, or imprison its essence within magical bindings. Instead, the Titan-Touched cultivate harmony with the primordial forces that shaped the world before history began. Their first bond is born from survival, but it does not end there. Through the Titan Spell Tradition, a Summoner gradually learns to harmonize with additional Primordial Titans, expanding their understanding of creation itself while never forgetting the Titan that first answered during their Awakening.

At the height of that harmony, a Primordial Titan answers.

The answer is neither illusion nor conjuration. It is not a servant called into battle, nor a creature forced to obey another’s will. For a fleeting moment, the Veil parts, allowing one of the Primordial Titans to manifest within the mortal world before returning once more to its eternal domain. Entire battlefields may witness the impossible as living mountains stir, oceans rise without warning, storms descend from clear skies, or radiant light drives back every shadow. Such Manifestations last only an instant, yet they leave impressions upon history that few who witness them ever forget.

To walk the path of the Summoner is to accept a life unlike that of any other spellcaster. Wizards master the principles of arcane magic through rigorous study. Druids preserve the balance of the natural world by honoring its oldest cycles. Clerics receive miracles through faith, while warlocks bargain for power beyond mortal understanding. A Summoner follows none of these traditions. Their power was revealed on the day creation itself refused to claim them. From that impossible beginning, they spend the rest of their lives deepening their harmony with the Primordial Titans, mastering the Titan Spell Tradition, and preparing for the extraordinary moment when one of creation’s oldest powers chooses to answer their call.

Creating a Summoner

Every Summoner begins with the same extraordinary truth: they are Titan-Touched. Before they ever cast a Titan spell or witness their first Manifestation, they have already survived a Primordial Awakening—a cataclysmic natural event that should have claimed their life. That impossible survival revealed a bond with one of the six Primordial Titans and forever changed the course of their existence. When creating your Summoner, consider not only how they fight, but also how surviving the impossible shaped the person they became.

The first question to answer is how your Primordial Awakening occurred. Every Summoner has a story that begins with the day they should have died. Were you the lone survivor of a volcanic eruption that consumed your homeland? Did you emerge unharmed after an earthquake buried an entire expedition beneath the mountains? Were you carried safely through a storm that destroyed every other ship upon the sea, or did you awaken after wandering through an endless darkness from which no one else returned? The details of the catastrophe are yours to decide, but the outcome is always the same. You survived, and in that impossible moment one of the Primordial Titans became your Awakening Titan.

Your Awakening Titan is more than the source of your first Titan spells. It is the foundation of your journey as a Summoner. The event left behind a Primordial Mark, a permanent reminder that your body and soul were forever altered by surviving a force of creation that should have destroyed you. Although your understanding of the Primordial Titans will broaden through Titanic Attunement as you gain experience, your Awakening Titan remains a defining part of your identity throughout your life.

Consider how your character views the Primordial Titans themselves. Some Summoners revere them as the oldest custodians of creation, believing every Manifestation to be a sacred privilege. Others approach them with humility, understanding that no mortal truly commands powers so ancient. Still others see the relationship as a solemn responsibility, recognizing that each Manifestation reminds the world that the Primordial Titans have never truly departed. Although every Summoner understands that the Titans cannot be compelled or controlled, each develops a deeply personal philosophy regarding why those ancient beings choose to answer.

You should also decide how your Primordial Mark and Titan-Touched nature reveal themselves. Ancient Titan Runes may awaken across your skin whenever you invoke the Titan Spell Tradition, glowing with patterns that reflect your growing harmony with the Primordial Titans. Your presence may subtly influence the world around you, causing embers to drift through still air, stone to tremble beneath your footsteps, waves to gather against the current, distant thunder to answer your voice, shadows to deepen without cause, or radiant light to linger long after dawn has passed. These signs need not be dramatic, but they should remind both your character and those around them that they survived an event no ordinary mortal could endure.

Finally, consider what path your character has chosen since their Primordial Awakening. Some Summoners wander the world seeking forgotten shrines, ancient Titan sanctuaries, and places where primordial power still lingers. Others dedicate themselves to protecting communities from the very catastrophes that once revealed their own calling. Some devote their lives to understanding the Titan Spell Tradition, believing every new Titan they harmonize with reveals another truth about creation itself. Others embrace the dangers of adventuring, convinced that only by standing at the edge of impossible challenges can they deepen their harmony with the Primordial Titans.

No two Summoners follow exactly the same path. Their personalities, philosophies, and ambitions differ as greatly as those of any other adventurer. Yet every Summoner carries the memory of a day when creation itself refused to claim them. From that impossible beginning, they spend the rest of their lives pursuing harmony with the Primordial Titans, hoping that when the Veil parts and one of those ancient beings answers through Manifestation, they will prove worthy of the bond first revealed during their Primordial Awakening.

The Summoner and the Mechanics of Desire

The Summoner is unique among the player classes presented in Whispers of Erosia. Unlike every other class, the Summoner’s defining gameplay loop is inseparably tied to the Mechanics of Desire. Every aspect of the class—from Sublimation and Manifestation to the moment a Primordial Titan answers—is designed around these systems.

Because of this, the Summoner can only be played using one of the following game modes presented in this book.

Veiled Play uses the streamlined Mechanics of Desire, emphasizing narrative pacing and simplified resource management.

Unveiled Play uses the complete Mechanics of Desire and presents the Summoner exactly as the class was designed to be played.

The Summoner is not compatible with Standard 5e play.

Veiled Play

Veiled Play preserves the complete narrative identity of the Summoner while simplifying the underlying resource management. Rather than tracking the full progression of the Mechanics of Desire, the class uses the streamlined rules presented in the Veiled Play chapter of this book.

Within Veiled Play, Sublimation represents the growing harmony between a Titan-Touched mortal and the primordial essence flowing through them. Every Titan spell, class feature, and significant moment of communion strengthens that harmony according to the Veiled Play rules. Although the underlying mechanics are simplified, the emotional cadence of the class remains unchanged. The Summoner prepares, builds harmony, reaches a moment of perfect synchronization, receives the answer of a Primordial Titan, and then begins the cycle anew.

Whenever the Summoner reaches the Sublimation threshold required by Veiled Play, they may resolve any class features, Titan spells, or Manifestations that require it. After the Manifestation concludes, Sublimation returns to its resting state as described in the Veiled Play rules before the cycle begins again.

Veiled Play is intended for groups that wish to experience the Summoner’s complete class fantasy while minimizing tactical bookkeeping.

Unveiled Play

Unveiled Play presents the Summoner’s complete mechanical experience and fully integrates the class into the Mechanics of Desire.

Within Unveiled Play, Sublimation is the Summoner’s thematic expression of Arousal. As Arousal increases, the Titan-Touched mortal becomes progressively synchronized with the primordial resonance that connects them to the Primordial Titans. Whenever this class refers to Sublimation, it is describing the Summoner’s unique interpretation of the universal Arousal system rather than introducing a separate resource. Sublimation is not tracked independently. It is simply the Summoner’s name for Arousal.

The Summoner follows all normal rules governing Arousal, Libido, and Climax presented in the Mechanics of Desire chapter. Titan spells, class features, and other abilities that increase Sublimation do so by increasing Arousal according to those universal rules. Likewise, whenever the Summoner reaches Climax, they resolve Climax exactly as described by the Mechanics of Desire before continuing play.

Certain Titan spells possess the Manifestation tag. If one of these spells causes the Summoner to reach Climax, the Veil briefly parts and the corresponding Primordial Titan answers through a Manifestation. After the Manifestation concludes, the Summoner resolves the remainder of Climax normally, resets Arousal as described in the Mechanics of Desire, and continues the cycle of preparation, harmony, and Manifestation.

Because every Titan spell, Titan Fist technique, class feature, and Manifestation has been designed around this progression, Unveiled Play represents the complete tactical experience of the Summoner and is the recommended way to experience the class.

Titan-Touched

No mortal begins life knowing they are Titan-Touched.

For most, the bond remains dormant and unseen throughout childhood and early adulthood. They live ordinary lives, unaware that their soul resonates with one of the oldest powers in creation. Only when confronted by a catastrophe that no ordinary mortal could survive does that hidden truth reveal itself. The moment of that revelation is known as a Primordial Awakening, and every Summoner remembers it as the day they should have died.

No scholar has ever discovered why one individual awakens while countless others perish beneath the same disaster. Theologians argue that the Primordial Titans consciously recognize certain souls, while druids believe the awakening occurs only when a mortal is exposed to creation in its purest and most uncompromising form. Arcane researchers have proposed countless theories concerning latent primordial resonance, forgotten bloodlines, or unseen metaphysical harmonies, yet none have successfully explained why two people may stand side by side beneath the same collapsing mountain while only one emerges forever changed. The mystery has endured since the earliest days of recorded history and remains one of Erosia’s greatest unanswered questions.

Every Primordial Awakening is born from a cataclysm that should have claimed the survivor’s life. A volcanic eruption consumes an entire settlement, leaving one child standing unharmed among cooling stone. An earthquake buries an expedition beneath a shattered mountain while a lone explorer walks free without injury. A hurricane tears apart a coastline, yet one sailor is found calmly drifting upon an otherwise empty sea. Others awaken beneath ancient glaciers, within impossible wildfires, amid crushing floods, beneath unrelenting storms, or after passing through darkness so complete that no light could penetrate it. Though the calamities differ, every Titan-Touched survivor shares the same impossible truth. They endured the direct touch of primordial creation and lived.

The catastrophe does not create the bond.

It reveals the bond that already existed.

During the Primordial Awakening, the survivor becomes consciously aware of a single Primordial Titan whose domain reflects the catastrophe they endured. This being becomes the Summoner’s Awakening Titan, the first of the Primordial Titans to answer their soul. The Awakening also leaves behind a permanent change known as a Primordial Mark. Whether that mark grants unusual resistance to primordial flame, an uncanny awareness of the earth beneath one’s feet, an affinity for storm and lightning, sight beyond ordinary darkness, or another lasting transformation, it stands as enduring proof that the survivor’s body and soul were forever altered by their encounter with creation’s oldest powers.

Although every Summoner begins with only a single Awakening Titan, that first bond is only the beginning of their journey. Through discipline, experience, and mastery of the Titan Spell Tradition, the Titan-Touched gradually achieve Titanic Attunement, learning to harmonize with additional Primordial Titans without ever abandoning the one that first answered during their Awakening. Each new attunement deepens their understanding of creation itself, allowing them to perceive that the six Primordial Titans are not isolated powers, but different voices within the same ancient harmony.

Being Titan-Touched does not place a Summoner above other mortals, nor does it elevate them to divine status. They tire, bleed, doubt themselves, and face death as readily as any other adventurer. Their gift grants neither authority over the Primordial Titans nor mastery of the elemental domains they govern. Instead, it offers something far rarer: the opportunity to spend a lifetime cultivating harmony with beings that remember the first moments of creation. Every Titan spell strengthens that harmony. Every Manifestation reminds the world that the Primordial Titans have never truly departed. Every Summoner walks knowing that, on the day they should have died, creation itself revealed that they were destined for something far greater than survival alone.

Sublimation

Every spellcaster learns to shape magical power according to the traditions they follow. Wizards master intricate formulae through years of disciplined study. Clerics offer prayers that invite divine miracles, while druids cultivate harmony with the natural world until nature itself answers their call. A Summoner follows none of these paths. Their magic is neither memorized nor bestowed. It was first revealed during their Primordial Awakening, then refined through an ever-deepening harmony with the Primordial Titans. Summoners know this process as Sublimation.

To those unfamiliar with the Titan Spell Tradition, Sublimation often appears difficult to explain. A seasoned Summoner may stand motionless before battle, breathing with measured calm while ancient runes slowly illuminate across their skin. Another might speak softly to a distant mountain as though listening for an answer only they can hear. Others describe the sensation as standing within an unseen current that grows stronger with every Titan spell they weave, every act of primordial magic drawing them closer to perfect harmony with the elemental domains from which their power flows. Though these experiences differ greatly, all describe the same gradual transformation: the boundary between mortal and primordial grows thinner with every passing moment.

Unlike ordinary spellcasting, Sublimation is not measured solely by the strength of the magic invoked. A simple Titan spell cast with complete understanding may deepen the bond more profoundly than an act of overwhelming elemental destruction performed without purpose. Summoners therefore devote themselves not only to mastering their spells, but also to understanding the philosophies embodied by the Primordial Titans themselves. Their journey begins with the Titan that first answered during their Primordial Awakening, yet through Titanic Attunement they gradually learn the wisdom of the others. Patience reflects Ragnarox. Conviction echoes Pyraxis. Adaptability honors Aqueos. Freedom belongs to Areos. Reflection answers Umbra. Hope shines through Sol. As a Summoner’s harmony deepens, these ideals become inseparable from the magic they wield.

Many experienced Summoners describe Sublimation as a conversation rather than a source of power. Every Titan spell is a question carried across the Veil. Every successful act of primordial magic strengthens the harmony between mortal and Titan. Though no words are spoken, the connection gradually deepens until both understand one another with perfect clarity. At that moment, the Summoner no longer reaches toward the Primordial Titans alone. The Titans answer in return.

Within the rules of Whispers of Erosia, Sublimation represents the Summoner’s unique expression of the universal Mechanics of Desire. The class does not introduce a separate resource, nor does it replace the systems governing Arousal, Libido, or Climax. Instead, Sublimation provides the narrative language through which Summoners understand those universal mechanics. Whenever a class feature, Titan spell, or Manifestation refers to Sublimation, it is describing the Summoner’s growing harmony with primordial creation rather than introducing additional bookkeeping beyond the Mechanics of Desire.

Whether played using Veiled Play or Unveiled Play, the rhythm of the class remains the same. The Summoner prepares for battle, gradually deepens their harmony through the Titan Spell Tradition, reaches a moment of perfect synchronization, and receives the answer of a Primordial Titan before beginning the cycle anew. This continual progression from preparation to harmony, from harmony to Manifestation, and from Manifestation back to quiet reflection defines the life of every Summoner. More than any individual spell or class feature, it is this rhythm that distinguishes the Titan-Touched from every other spellcaster in Erosia.

Manifestation

Every Summoner pursues the same extraordinary moment. However they prepare, whichever Titan spells they weave, and however far their Titanic Attunement has grown, every Summoner ultimately seeks a single instant when harmony between mortal and primordial becomes complete. That moment is known as a Manifestation.

To those unfamiliar with the Titan-Touched, a Manifestation appears impossible to comprehend. The air grows unnaturally still before erupting with overwhelming elemental force. Ancient Titan Runes blaze across the Summoner’s body as though responding to a heartbeat older than the world itself. Reality bends beneath the weight of an unseen presence, and for the briefest of moments, the Veil separating the mortal world from the Primordial Titans yields.

Then, one of the Primordial Titans answers.

A Manifestation is not a spell, nor is it a summoned creature brought forth through magical compulsion. The Primordial Titans cannot be bound, controlled, imprisoned, or commanded by mortal will. Instead, a Manifestation represents a fleeting moment of perfect harmony during which a Primordial Titan willingly extends its presence into the mortal world. The answer is brief, measured in moments rather than minutes, yet its impact is unmistakable. Those fortunate—or unfortunate—enough to witness such an event often spend the remainder of their lives searching for words capable of describing it.

Although every Manifestation is unique to the Titan answering, all follow the same fundamental rhythm. The Summoner reaches perfect harmony through Sublimation. The Veil briefly parts. The Primordial Titan whose power was invoked answers according to the magic that called across the divide. The Titan’s presence reshapes the battlefield through a singular act worthy of one of creation’s oldest powers before withdrawing once more beyond mortal reach. When the Manifestation ends, the Veil closes, the world returns to its familiar rhythm, and the Summoner begins the journey toward harmony once again.

Each Primordial Titan expresses its presence differently. Ragnarox may answer as the earth itself rises in impossible defiance, while Pyraxis arrives amid an eruption of living flame that burns with the conviction of creation’s first fire. Aqueos may descend upon the battlefield as an overwhelming tide that sweeps aside friend and foe alike before retreating into mist. Areos is heralded by thunder that silences every other sound before the fury of wind and storm descends upon the battlefield. Umbra’s presence seems to draw light itself into quiet reflection, while Sol answers with a brilliance that recalls the world’s first sunrise. Though no two Manifestations appear alike, each bears the unmistakable authority of the Primordial Titan from which it came.

A Summoner does not decide when a Manifestation occurs through force of will alone. Harmony must first become complete. Only then can the corresponding Primordial Titan choose to answer. This distinction lies at the heart of the Titan Spell Tradition. A Summoner does not compel creation to obey them. They cultivate a relationship worthy of an answer, trusting that when harmony reaches its highest expression, the oldest powers of the world will remember the bond first revealed during their Primordial Awakening.

Within the rules of Whispers of Erosia, Manifestation is the defining feature of the Summoner class. Certain Titan spells bear the Manifestation tag. If one of these spells causes the Summoner to reach Climax, the corresponding Primordial Titan answers according to the Manifestation rules presented later in this class. In Veiled Play, this occurs when the Summoner fulfills the requirements described by the streamlined Mechanics of Desire. In Unveiled Play, this occurs when the Summoner reaches Climax through the standard Mechanics of Desire. In either mode, each Manifestation lasts only until the end of the current turn before the Titan’s presence recedes beyond the Veil. This deliberate brevity reflects the true nature of the Primordial Titans. They are not companions that accompany the Summoner throughout battle, but ancient powers whose brief appearance transforms the course of an encounter through a single unforgettable moment.

The Titan Spell Tradition

The oldest forms of magic did not begin with mortal hands. Long before scholars recorded the principles of arcane study or priests called upon the blessings of the gods, the Primordial Titans shaped creation simply through their existence. Mountains rose because Ragnarox endured. Fire burned because Pyraxis willed it to burn. Oceans gathered beneath Aqueos, storms answered Areos, shadows lengthened beneath Umbra, and every dawn carried the radiance of Sol. The magic practiced by Summoners does not imitate these primordial acts. It echoes them.

The Titan Spell Tradition is the oldest known magical tradition in Erosia, preserved across countless generations of Titan-Touched. Unlike other spellcasting traditions, it is not organized into schools of magic, philosophical disciplines, or divine mysteries. Instead, every Titan spell bears the unmistakable authority of a single Primordial Titan. Each spell reflects not only an elemental domain, but also the ideals, temperament, and ancient authority of the Titan from which it descends. To study the Titan Spell Tradition is therefore to study the language through which creation itself was first shaped.

Every Summoner begins that study with only a single voice.

A Summoner’s Primordial Awakening reveals their Awakening Titan, granting them their first understanding of the Titan Spell Tradition. As their mastery grows, they develop Titanic Attunement, gradually harmonizing with additional Primordial Titans and expanding the number of Titan spell traditions they can invoke. What begins as a single conversation slowly becomes a chorus, until the greatest Summoners are capable of harmonizing with every known Primordial Titan. Though their understanding broadens, the Awakening Titan forever remains the foundation upon which every later attunement is built.

Although the Primordial Titans stand united as the first custodians of creation, each speaks through magic in a profoundly different way. Ragnarox teaches endurance, stability, protection, and the patient strength of stone. Pyraxis embodies transformation, conviction, and the relentless power of living flame. Aqueos favors adaptability, restoration, and the quiet persistence of flowing water. Areos speaks through motion, freedom, thunder, and the authority of the endless sky. Umbra reveals truth through silence, shadow, mystery, and reflection, while Sol answers with hope, revelation, renewal, and the promise that every night ultimately yields to dawn. Even when two Titan spells produce similar magical effects, the philosophy behind those effects reflects the Primordial Titan whose essence they carry.

Many Titan spells possess additional characteristics beyond their normal magical effects. Some bear the Fistbound tag, allowing a Summoner to channel the spell through a Titan Fist as part of a melee attack. Others bear the Manifestation tag, marking them as spells capable of inviting the answer of a Primordial Titan when they cause the Summoner to reach Climax. These designations are explained within each spell’s description and represent the unique relationship between the Titan Spell Tradition, the Mechanics of Desire, and the Summoner’s class features.

As a Summoner grows in experience, the Titan Spell Tradition grows alongside them. Higher-level spells reflect an increasingly profound understanding of primordial creation, while Manifestation allows familiar spells to express themselves in extraordinary ways when answered by a Primordial Titan. A spell first learned during the earliest days of a Summoner’s journey may continue to reveal new depths decades later, not because the spell itself has changed, but because the Summoner’s harmony with the Primordial Titans has become ever more complete.

To outsiders, the Titan Spell Tradition appears remarkably diverse. A single Summoner may call upon living flame one day, shape unyielding stone the next, command the fury of the storm, or weave shadow and radiant light before the week has ended. Experienced Titan-Touched understand that these are not separate forms of magic, but different voices speaking the same ancient language. Every Titan spell is another conversation across the Veil, another step toward deeper harmony, and another reminder that the oldest powers in creation still answer those who have survived a Primordial Awakening.

Primordial Awakening

The first change wrought by a Primordial Awakening is not the ability to cast Titan spells.

It is the transformation of the body itself.

When a mortal survives the direct touch of primordial creation, they do not emerge unchanged. Flesh, bone, and spirit become permanently altered by the Primordial Mark left behind during the Awakening. Though these changes are often subtle at first, every Titan spell woven, every act of Sublimation experienced, and every Manifestation witnessed strengthens the body’s ability to carry primordial power. Among Summoners, this transformation finds its purest expression through the art known as the Titan Fist.

Unlike many spellcasters, a Summoner carries no martial weapon into battle. They have little need for one. Steel and wood are tools fashioned by mortal hands, while the Titan-Touched learn to wield forces that predate civilization itself. When a Summoner strikes with a Titan Fist, they are not relying upon physical strength alone. Their body becomes the conduit through which primordial authority enters the mortal world, allowing the power of the Primordial Titans to flow through flesh, bone, and spirit before erupting in a single decisive blow.

To an observer, no two Titan Fists appear exactly alike. A Summoner expressing Ragnarox may find their hands encased in living stone veined with ancient crystal, each strike carrying the certainty and weight of an unyielding mountain. One invoking Pyraxis may watch obsidian spread across their forearms as brilliant flame pours between widening cracks, every blow echoing with the conviction of creation’s first fire. Those who channel Aqueos often strike beneath swirling currents that flow around their arms without ever falling to the ground, while Areos surrounds each movement with compressed wind, rolling thunder, or arcs of brilliant lightning. Umbra cloaks the hands in living shadow that seems to drink the surrounding light, whereas Sol answers with radiant brilliance that banishes darkness before the blow is ever delivered.

Although these expressions differ dramatically, they all arise from the same underlying principle. The Summoner does not become a Primordial Titan, nor do they borrow a fragment of a Titan’s physical form. Instead, the Titan Fist is the mortal body responding to primordial harmony. Every strike becomes an extension of the Titan Spell Tradition, allowing the Summoner to express the authority of the Primordial Titans without expending a spell slot or invoking a Manifestation.

As a Summoner’s harmony deepens through Titanic Attunement, so too does their command of the Titan Fist. What begins as the expression of an Awakening Titan gradually expands to encompass additional Primordial Titans, allowing experienced Summoners to shape each strike according to the Titan whose philosophy best suits the moment. A crushing blow inspired by Ragnarox may embody immovable endurance, while Pyraxis teaches relentless conviction and explosive force. Aqueos favors fluid adaptation and redirection, Areos strikes with speed, motion, and the fury of the storm, Umbra denies certainty through silence and shadow, and Sol answers every blow with unwavering purpose and radiant clarity. Though these techniques differ greatly in execution, each reflects the nature of the Primordial Titan whose power flows through the Summoner.

Certain Titan spells deepen this harmony even further. Spells bearing the Fistbound tag are designed to flow directly through a Titan Fist, allowing spell and strike to become a single expression of primordial power. Rather than separating spellcasting from physical combat, the Titan-Touched understands that both are simply different voices within the same ancient language. Whether weaving the Titan Spell Tradition from afar or standing face-to-face with an enemy, the Summoner never ceases to act as a living conduit for the oldest powers in creation.

Titan-Touched

1st-Level Summoner Feature

You are one of the exceedingly rare individuals known as the Titan-Touched—mortals who survived a cataclysmic event that should have claimed their life, only to emerge forever changed by a Primordial Awakening. During that impossible moment, one of the Primordial Titans reached across the Veil and left an indelible mark upon your body and soul. Though the reason a Titan chooses one mortal over another remains among the oldest mysteries in Erosia, every Summoner shares the same defining truth: they were touched by primordial creation and survived.

Choose one of the six Primordial Titans as your Awakening Titan. This choice reflects the Primordial Awakening that shaped your character’s past and establishes the foundation of your Titan Spell Tradition. Your Awakening Titan cannot normally be changed.

Your Awakening Titan grants you the following benefits:

  • You gain the Primordial Mark associated with your Awakening Titan.
  • Your Titan Fists initially express the power of your Awakening Titan.
  • You learn Titan spells from your Awakening Titan as described under Spellcasting.
  • Your first Manifestation always answers through your Awakening Titan.

Primordial Marks

The Primordial Mark left upon your body reflects the Titan that answered your Primordial Awakening.

  • Pyraxis. You have resistance to fire damage.
  • Ragnarox. While you are standing on stone or earth, you have tremorsense out to a range of 10 feet.
  • Aqueos. You have resistance to cold damage.
  • Areos. You have resistance to lightning damage.
  • Umbra. You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already possess darkvision, its range increases by 60 feet.
  • Sol. You have resistance to radiant damage.

Your Primordial Mark is a permanent manifestation of your Primordial Awakening. Although you will later learn to harmonize with additional Primordial Titans through Titanic Attunement, your Awakening Titan remains forever bound to the event that first revealed your Titan-Touched nature.

Spellcasting

1st-Level Summoner Feature

Your Primordial Awakening revealed your first connection to the oldest magical tradition in creation: the Titan Spell Tradition. Unlike arcane, divine, or primal magic, every Titan spell echoes the authority of a single Primordial Titan. As your harmony deepens, you learn to invoke these ancient powers through the Titan Spell Tradition.

Cantrips

You know three cantrips of your choice from your Awakening Titan’s Titan spell list. Whenever you gain a Summoner level, you can replace one Summoner cantrip you know with another cantrip available through a Titan to which you are attuned. The Cantrips Known column of the Summoner table shows when you learn additional Summoner cantrips.

Spell Slots

The Summoner table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Summoner spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a spell slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

Prepared Spells of 1st Level and Higher

You prepare the list of Summoner spells that are available for you to cast. To do so, choose from the Titan spell lists of the Primordial Titans to which you are currently attuned.

The number of Summoner spells you prepare equals your Summoner level + your Constitution modifier (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Whenever you finish a long rest, you can replace any number of your prepared Summoner spells by preparing new spells from the Titan spell lists available through your current Titanic Attunement.

Spellcasting Ability

Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your Summoner spells, as your body serves as the conduit through which primordial power enters the mortal world.

You use your Constitution whenever a Summoner spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Summoner spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Ritual Casting

You can cast a Summoner spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and you have the spell prepared.

Spellcasting Focus

You do not require a spellcasting focus to cast your Summoner spells. Your Primordial Mark and Titan-Touched body serve as the conduit through which you channel the Titan Spell Tradition.

Titan Fist

1st-Level Summoner Feature

Your Primordial Awakening permanently transformed your body into a conduit for primordial power. Rather than relying upon manufactured weapons, you have learned to channel the authority of the Primordial Titans through your own flesh and spirit. Your unarmed strikes are known as Titan Fists, each expressing the elemental essence of the Primordial Titan whose power you invoke.

Titan Fists

Your unarmed strikes gain the following benefits while you aren’t wielding a weapon or shield:

  • You can use your Constitution modifier, instead of Strength, for the attack and damage rolls of your unarmed strikes.
  • You can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strikes. This die changes as you gain Summoner levels, as shown in the Titan Fist column of the Summoner table.
  • Your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Primordial Expression

Whenever you make a Titan Fist attack, you choose one Primordial Titan to which you are currently attuned. Your Titan Fist visibly expresses that Titan’s elemental authority until the attack is resolved. This expression is cosmetic unless a feature of this class, a Titan spell, or another Summoner feature states otherwise.

Fistbound Spells

Some Titan spells bear the Fistbound tag. When you cast a Fistbound spell, you can deliver the spell through a Titan Fist as described in that spell’s description. Unless otherwise stated, the spell replaces the normal damage of the Titan Fist rather than adding to it.

As your mastery of the Titan Spell Tradition deepens, your Titan Fists become increasingly powerful, allowing them to express the philosophies and elemental authority of the Primordial Titans in ever more extraordinary ways.

Manifestation

1st-Level Summoner Feature

The ultimate expression of the Titan Spell Tradition is Manifestation. Through Sublimation, you gradually deepen the harmony between your soul and the Primordial Titans. When that harmony reaches its highest expression, the Veil briefly parts, allowing a Primordial Titan to answer your call.

A Manifestation is not a summoned creature, nor does it place a Primordial Titan under your control. Instead, it represents a fleeting moment during which the Titan willingly extends its presence into the mortal world before returning beyond the Veil.

Triggering a Manifestation

Certain Summoner spells bear the Manifestation tag.

When you cast one of these spells and it causes you to reach Climax, the Primordial Titan associated with that spell answers through a Manifestation.

The Titan that answers is always determined by the triggering spell, not by your Awakening Titan or another feature unless a feature specifically states otherwise.

Manifestation Duration

A Manifestation lasts until the end of the current turn.

Once the Manifestation is complete, the Primordial Titan’s presence recedes beyond the Veil, and you resolve Climax as described in the Mechanics of Desire before continuing play.

Manifestation Effects

Every Manifestation spell includes additional effects that occur when the associated Primordial Titan answers. These effects improve as you gain Summoner levels, reflecting your growing harmony with the Primordial Titans. Unless otherwise stated, a Manifestation affects only the spell that triggered it.

Veiled Play. you trigger a Manifestation whenever you fulfill the Sublimation requirements described by the streamlined Mechanics of Desire and cast a spell bearing the Manifestation tag.

Unveiled Play. Sublimation is your class’s thematic expression of Arousal. Whenever you reach Climax by casting a spell bearing the Manifestation tag, the associated Primordial Titan answers according to the rules above.

Titanic Attunement

2nd-Level Summoner Feature

Your journey as a Summoner began with a single Primordial Titan, but your understanding of creation does not end there. Through meditation, experience, and mastery of the Titan Spell Tradition, you learn to harmonize with additional Primordial Titans. This ever-expanding harmony is known as Titanic Attunement.

Titanic Attunement determines which Primordial Titans you can call upon through the Titan Spell Tradition. As your Summoner level increases, you become attuned to additional Primordial Titans, expanding the Titan spell lists from which you can prepare spells, the Primordial expressions available to your Titan Fists, and the Primordial Titans capable of answering your Manifestations.

Your Awakening Titan is always one of your attuned Titans and does not count against the number of additional Titans you can attune to.

Whenever your Titanic Attunement increases, choose one Primordial Titan with which you are not already attuned. You immediately gain access to that Titan’s spell list when preparing Summoner spells after a long rest.

In addition, you can express that Titan through your Titan Fists and answer through its Manifestation spells, provided you have prepared those spells.

Once you become attuned to a Primordial Titan, that attunement is permanent and cannot normally be changed.

Your growing Titanic Attunement reflects an ever-deepening understanding of the primordial harmony that shaped creation. Though your journey always begins with the Titan revealed during your Primordial Awakening, your mastery ultimately extends to every known Primordial Titan, allowing you to wield the complete Titan Spell Tradition.

Summoner Calling

3rd-Level Summoner Feature

As your harmony with the Primordial Titans deepens, you discover that no two Titan-Touched walk exactly the same path. These disciplines are known as Summoner Callings.
