Overview
The history of Erosia stretches back beyond written memory. Long before kingdoms were founded or the first cities appeared, the world was shaped by divine powers, primordial forces, and civilizations whose names have been lost to time. Every generation uncovers new fragments of this forgotten past, revealing that history is far older and far more complicated than scholars once believed.
Unlike many worlds whose histories are preserved through uninterrupted records, much of Erosia’s past survives only in scattered pieces. Earthquakes, floods, wars, magical disasters, and the simple passage of countless centuries have erased entire cultures from memory. As a result, historians often reconstruct the past by comparing temple archives, archaeological discoveries, oral traditions, and relics recovered from ancient ruins.
Even today, many of history’s greatest questions remain unanswered. Every expedition into forgotten tombs or unexplored ruins has the potential to rewrite accepted scholarship, and nowhere is this more apparent than within the endless depths of Rosethorn Chasm, where each new discovery hints at civilizations far older than anyone imagined.

The Age of Creation
From the First Mystery emerged the foundations of existence. The world itself took shape, the Veil separated reality from the unseen, and the first divine beings entered creation. During this age, the fundamental laws governing life, magic, the elements, and the soul were established.
Little survives from this era beyond sacred tradition. Most surviving accounts blend theology with mythology, making it difficult to distinguish literal history from symbolic truth. Even so, nearly every culture traces its earliest origins to these formative events.

The Age of Giants
Before the rise of mortal civilizations, the Giants walked the young world.
According to surviving traditions, they were among the first great builders of Erosia, raising immense monuments, roads, sanctuaries, and wonders whose scale remains unmatched. Their works can still be found scattered across every continent, although many have long since fallen into ruin or disappeared beneath forests and mountains.
Why the Giants eventually withdrew from history remains uncertain. Some legends speak of a sacred purpose fulfilled, while others suggest they simply entrusted the world to the younger peoples who followed.
The Age of Ancient Civilizations
As the world matured, countless civilizations rose across Erosia. Some became prosperous kingdoms whose influence lasted for centuries, while others vanished so completely that only broken foundations remain to mark their existence.
Many of the world’s greatest archaeological discoveries originate from this era. Ancient temples, buried cities, forgotten roads, and mysterious artifacts continue to emerge from beneath the earth, suggesting that the known history of Erosia represents only a small portion of its true past.

The present era is often called the Age of Discovery.
Although civilization has reached remarkable heights, much of Erosia remains unexplored. Advances in scholarship, navigation, and magical study have inspired a renewed interest in forgotten history, leading governments, temples, universities, and independent organizations to sponsor expeditions into long-abandoned ruins.
The Bloomseekers Guild has become one of the most respected organizations devoted to this pursuit. Its explorers venture into dangerous locations across the world, recovering relics, documenting ancient architecture, and preserving knowledge that might otherwise be lost forever. Their most famous expeditions descend into Rosethorn Chasm beneath the city of Amarosa, where each discovery raises new questions about Erosia’s earliest civilizations.
