The roster of playable classes in the Whispers of Erosia: Second Bloom Edition Player’s Handbook continues to grow. Today, we’re excited to introduce two martial classes that may appear similar at first glance but are built around fundamentally different philosophies: the Warbound and the Wildheart.

Both stand on the front lines. Both thrive in the heart of battle. Both are capable of incredible feats of strength and resilience. Yet once you look beneath the surface, they represent two completely different answers to a simple question.

What gives a hero the strength to keep fighting?

The Warbound

The Warbound believes strength comes from commitment.

These warriors are not driven by fury or instinct. They are defined by conviction. Every oath sworn, every ally protected, and every impossible stand strengthens their resolve. Their signature Erosian Engine, Conviction, rewards dedication under pressure, transforming unwavering belief into tangible battlefield power.

Rather than simply attacking harder, the Warbound grows stronger by choosing what is worth defending. They are disciplined martial leaders whose greatest victories come through courage, determination, and the refusal to abandon those who stand beside them.

Their Climax, Ascendant Resolve, is the defining moment when conviction reaches its peak, allowing the Warbound to embody the ideals they have carried throughout the battle.

If you’ve ever wanted to play the warrior who refuses to yield because others depend on them, the Warbound was built for you.

The Wildheart

Where the Warbound trusts discipline, the Wildheart trusts something far older.

The Wildheart embraces the primal instincts that every living creature carries within. Beneath civilization, training, and tradition lies an ancient survival instinct that awakens when the stakes become life or death. The Wildheart doesn’t suppress that voice. They answer it.

This class introduces Ferocity, a new resource that represents the body’s extraordinary ability to exceed its normal limits. Ferocity is not Rage, and it is not anger. Rage is the battle trance. Ferocity is the surge of physical power that follows, allowing the Wildheart to fight harder, endure longer, and accomplish feats that should be impossible.

As danger intensifies, the Wildheart grows more dangerous in return. Every charge into battle, every devastating strike, and every refusal to fall feeds the cycle until it culminates in the Apex Hunt, a legendary moment where instinct, body, and purpose become one.

The result is a martial class that captures the familiar fantasy of the Barbarian while giving it an identity that is unmistakably Erosian.

Building Classes the Erosian Way

One of the guiding principles behind Second Bloom Edition is that every class should offer more than a new set of combat abilities. Each one is designed around a unique emotional identity that shapes how it interacts with the Mechanics of Desire.

The Warbound channels pressure into Conviction.

The Wildheart transforms pressure into Ferocity.

Although both are formidable frontline warriors, they experience the Desire Cycle in completely different ways. That distinction is what allows each class to feel mechanically and emotionally unique while remaining fully compatible with traditional Fifth Edition gameplay.

Our goal has never been to simply rename existing classes. Instead, we’re rebuilding familiar archetypes so they feel like they truly belong in the world of Erosia.

Looking Ahead

With the Warbound and Wildheart complete, the Player’s Handbook continues to take shape one class at a time. Each new addition brings us closer to a roster where every class has its own voice, its own mechanics, and its own relationship with the world of Erosia.

There’s still plenty ahead. More base classes are in development before we turn our attention to subclasses, followed by backgrounds, feats, and the many systems that bring the setting to life.

For now, we invite you to explore both classes on the website. Read through their features, compare their philosophies, and tell us which one speaks to you. Is your hero driven by unbreakable conviction, or do they trust the ancient call of the wild?

Your feedback continues to shape Whispers of Erosia, and every milestone brings us one step closer to the complete Second Bloom Edition Player’s Handbook.
