The Oathsworn
“An oath is not measured by the words spoken when it is sworn, but by the burdens willingly carried to keep it.”
Across Erosia, countless promises are spoken each day. Lovers pledge devotion beneath the three moons. Sovereigns swear to protect their people. Guardians vow to defend the innocent, while companions promise never to abandon one another. Most of these words fade with time, broken by fear, convenience, or changing hearts. The Oathsworn are different. They choose a sacred promise and devote their lives to honoring it, no matter the cost.
An Oathsworn is more than a warrior blessed by the divine. They are living proof that fidelity possesses power. Their strength is not granted because they are perfect, but because they remain steadfast when keeping their oath becomes difficult. The Veil recognizes such unwavering conviction, answering their devotion with sacred authority that allows them to stand between the vulnerable and those who would bring harm.
The promise an Oathsworn carries differs from one individual to another. One may dedicate their life to protecting the innocent wherever danger arises. Another may pursue justice without compromise, hunting monsters and tyrants who prey upon the weak. Some devote themselves to mercy and reconciliation, believing redemption is the highest expression of strength. Others stand as guardians of ancient traditions, sacred places, or cherished communities. Though their vows differ, every Oathsworn shares the same understanding: an oath is not a burden to escape, but a responsibility to embrace.
When conflict begins, the Oathsworn does not rush forward in search of glory. They first discern what their oath demands of them. Every decision begins with judgment. Once that judgment is made, they exercise the sacred authority entrusted to them by serving a Sacred Warrant. Each Warrant represents another responsibility willingly accepted in faithful service to their oath, another declaration that says, “This burden is mine.” The more often an Oathsworn bears such burdens, the greater the emotional and spiritual weight they carry until their duty has finally been fulfilled.
To outsiders, an Oathsworn appears calm, disciplined, and unwavering. Beneath that composed exterior lies a heart continually tested by compassion, righteous anger, grief, hope, love, and every other powerful emotion that gives meaning to their oath. They do not reject these feelings, nor do they seek to suppress them. They accept them as the natural consequence of caring deeply enough to place another’s well-being before their own. In Erosia, that emotional burden resonates through the Veil itself, becoming part of the sacred rhythm that shapes both body and soul.
Few lives demand greater sacrifice. Every oath asks something different. Every day presents new opportunities to fail. Yet the Oathsworn continue forward, knowing that authority is never measured by the power one possesses, but by the burdens one willingly carries in faithful service to others.
Creating an Oathsworn
Every Oathsworn begins with a promise.
Long before they wield sacred authority or serve their first Sacred Warrant, they make a conscious decision that one truth is worth dedicating their life to protecting. That promise may arise from faith, personal conviction, a solemn duty, or an experience that forever changed the course of their life. Whatever its origin, the oath is freely chosen. It cannot be imposed by another, for authority earned through fidelity cannot exist without willing commitment.
As you create your Oathsworn, begin by asking what promise defines your character. Are they sworn to defend those who cannot defend themselves? Have they pledged to destroy creatures that corrupt the natural order? Do they seek justice without prejudice, redemption without compromise, or guardianship over a sacred place, people, or tradition? Your oath should be broad enough to guide a lifetime of decisions while remaining personal enough to shape every choice your character makes.
Next, consider why that promise matters so deeply. Perhaps your character once failed someone they loved and refuses to make that mistake again. Perhaps they witnessed extraordinary courage that forever altered their understanding of honor. Their oath may have been inspired by divine revelation, ancient tradition, a mentor’s sacrifice, or a quiet promise spoken beneath the light of the Three Mothers. The source of that conviction is as important as the promise itself, for it explains why your character continues to bear its weight even when doing so demands sacrifice.
Think about how your Oathsworn exercises sacred authority. Some speak with quiet certainty, offering calm guidance before conflict ever begins. Others pronounce solemn declarations that echo across the battlefield like ancient judgments. Some invoke their Sacred Warrants through formal ritual and carefully chosen words, while others simply act, allowing unwavering deeds to speak where speeches never could. No single tradition defines every Oathsworn. The only constant is that their authority is expressed with purpose rather than impulse.
Equally important is understanding how your character responds to failure. Every Oathsworn will face moments when keeping their promise seems impossible, when mercy and justice appear to conflict, or when personal desire challenges sacred duty. These moments do not diminish an Oathsworn—they define them. The Veil does not demand perfection. It recognizes those who remain faithful despite uncertainty, temptation, grief, and hardship. Every difficult decision strengthens the bond between the Oathsworn and the sacred promise they have chosen to uphold.
In Whispers of Erosia, the Mechanics of Desire reflect this struggle in a unique way. The Oathsworn does not seek to suppress emotion or deny desire. Compassion, righteous anger, devotion, hope, grief, and love all strengthen the conviction that drives them to act. Every time an Oathsworn serves a Sacred Warrant, they willingly accept another emotional burden in service to their oath. That growing weight manifests as Arousal, not because authority is pleasurable, but because deeply caring for others demands emotional investment. Their journey is one of continually choosing responsibility over comfort until that burden is finally resolved through Vindication.
Above all, remember that an Oathsworn is defined less by the words of their oath than by the life they live afterward. Anyone can make a promise. Few possess the resolve to carry its burdens through every triumph, every failure, and every temptation. Those who do become living symbols of fidelity, proving that true authority is earned not by command, but by the unwavering willingness to bear responsibility in faithful service to others.

You begin with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:
- Chain mail or scale mail
- A martial weapon and a shield, or two martial weapons
- Five javelins or any simple weapon
- A priest’s pack or an explorer’s pack
- A sacred token representing your oath
The sacred token has no mechanical benefit. It may be a medallion, ribbon, engraved ring, oath cord, ceremonial seal, or another object that reminds you of the promise that set you upon the Oathsworn’s path.

The Weight of Judgment

Every oath carries responsibility.
For most people, responsibility is accepted only when it is convenient. It is easy to promise protection when danger is distant, to speak of justice when no sacrifice is required, or to proclaim compassion while no forgiveness is demanded. The true measure of an oath is revealed only when keeping it becomes difficult.
The Oathsworn understands this better than any other. Their authority is not granted simply because an oath was spoken, but because they continually choose to remain faithful when every easier path invites compromise. Every act of courage, every sacrifice made for another, and every burden willingly accepted strengthens the sacred bond between the Oathsworn and the Veil.
This devotion shapes the Oathsworn’s experience of the Mechanics of Desire unlike any other class.
Compassion stirs the heart of one who shields the helpless. Righteous anger burns within one who confronts cruelty. Hope inspires those who refuse to surrender, while grief weighs heavily upon those who witness suffering they cannot prevent. None of these emotions weaken the Oathsworn. They are the very reason their oath possesses meaning.
Whenever an Oathsworn exercises sacred authority by serving a Sacred Warrant, they willingly accept another emotional burden in faithful service to their promise. That burden manifests as Arousal, representing the growing emotional and spiritual weight of repeatedly placing duty before personal comfort. Each Warrant declares, in both word and deed:
“This burden is mine.”
As Arousal rises, the Oathsworn does not become consumed by selfish desire. Instead, they feel the mounting strain of every judgment rendered, every innocent protected, every enemy confronted, and every sacrifice accepted. Their heart grows heavier with every responsibility they choose to carry.
Eventually, that burden reaches its natural conclusion. Through the universal rhythm of the Veil, emotional pressure demands release. For the Oathsworn, this moment is not a failure of discipline, nor a surrender to temptation. It is the culmination of faithful service—a reminder that even the strongest soul cannot bear every burden forever.
The greatest Oathsworn are not those who never falter beneath responsibility.
They are those who continue accepting it, again and again, despite knowing exactly how heavy it will become.
Vindication
Every soul within the Veil experiences the natural rhythm of Desire. Emotional burdens accumulate, longing grows, and eventually that pressure seeks release. For the Oathsworn, this sacred rhythm is not something to be feared or denied. It is the inevitable consequence of a life devoted to carrying burdens on behalf of others.
Each Sacred Warrant served represents another responsibility willingly accepted. Every innocent defended, every evil confronted, every act of mercy extended, and every sacrifice endured adds to the weight borne by the Oathsworn. As that burden grows, so too does the emotional and spiritual pressure that accompanies faithful service.
When that pressure finally reaches its natural conclusion, the Oathsworn experiences Vindication.
Vindication is far more than emotional release. It is a profound moment of spiritual affirmation in which the Veil answers the Oathsworn’s unwavering fidelity. For a brief moment, every burden willingly carried is acknowledged. Doubt gives way to certainty. Weariness becomes renewed conviction. The Oathsworn experiences complete harmony between their promise, their authority, and the sacred order they have devoted themselves to protecting.
Unlike many who seek release for personal gratification, the Oathsworn finds fulfillment in knowing their burdens were not carried in vain. Vindication is not a reward for suffering, nor does it erase hardship. Instead, it renews the spirit, allowing the Oathsworn to rise once more and continue fulfilling the promise they freely chose to bear.
To those who witness it, Vindication is unmistakable. Sacred Seals blaze with radiant light. Ancient script glows as though written anew. The air hums with the quiet resonance of the Veil itself, and for a fleeting instant, the Oathsworn stands as a living testament to the power of unwavering fidelity.
The greatest Oathsworn do not seek Vindication for its own sake.
They seek it because it reminds them that no burden carried in faithful service is ever unseen by the Veil, and that every promise kept strengthens both the soul that bears it and the world it was sworn to protect.
Sacred Warrants
The authority entrusted to an Oathsworn is never exercised lightly.
Throughout Erosia, judges render verdicts, rulers issue commands, priests pronounce blessings, and generals direct armies. These are acts of worldly authority, granted through position, law, or tradition. A Sacred Warrant is something altogether different. It is the formal exercise of authority recognized by the Veil itself, earned not through title or birthright, but through unwavering fidelity to a sacred promise.
Every Sacred Warrant begins with a moment of judgment.
An Oathsworn first determines what their oath requires of the situation before them. Only then do they decide whether that moment deserves more than ordinary strength, skill, or courage. When they choose to issue a Sacred Warrant, they are declaring that they will personally accept responsibility for the outcome. Whether defending the innocent, extending mercy to the repentant, confronting corruption, or pronouncing righteous judgment, every Warrant is a solemn promise carried into action.
Unlike ordinary martial techniques or divine spells, Sacred Warrants are never routine. An Oathsworn may fight an entire battle without issuing a single Warrant, relying only upon their training and conviction. Yet when the stakes demand it, a Sacred Warrant transforms an ordinary act into an extraordinary expression of sacred authority.
Issuing a Sacred Warrant is always a choice.
No oath demands that every action become a declaration of divine authority. Wisdom lies in recognizing the moments worthy of that burden, for every Sacred Warrant carries consequences that reach beyond the battlefield. The faithful understand that true authority is measured not by how often it is exercised, but by knowing precisely when it must be.
Sacred Seals

Every Sacred Warrant is issued through a Sacred Seal, a living symbol of sacred authority recognized by the Veil.
A Sacred Seal is both a physical emblem and a spiritual conduit. Worn openly upon armor, shields, weapons, cloaks, holy symbols, or other sacred regalia, each Seal represents one of the six great expressions of sacred authority. While their appearance differs according to culture, tradition, and personal history, every Oathsworn’s Seals bear sacred script that awakens whenever divine authority is called upon.
Unlike a spellcaster who shapes magical energy directly, an Oathsworn channels sacred authority through these Seals. When a Sacred Warrant is issued, the chosen Seal separates briefly from its resting place, its script blazing with radiant light as it manifests the authority entrusted to its bearer. Once the Warrant has been fulfilled, the Seal returns to its place, its power spent until renewed through rest, reflection, or other abilities granted by this class.
Each Sacred Seal governs a particular expression of sacred authority and determines how the Warrants issued through it interact with your class features, spells, and abilities.
Seal of Judgment
The Seal of Judgment embodies righteous consequence. Judgment Warrants enhance weapon attacks, Divine Smite, offensive Channel Divinity options, and other abilities that condemn evil, expose guilt, or deliver just punishment. As your mastery grows, the Judgment Seal strengthens every Warrant issued through it, allowing your righteous authority to become increasingly decisive.
Seal of Mercy
The Seal of Mercy embodies compassion, restoration, and forgiveness. Mercy Warrants enhance Lay on Hands, healing magic, restorative abilities, and other acts that preserve life or strengthen allies. As your mastery grows, the Mercy Seal allows every healing act to carry greater comfort and restoration.
Seal of Sanctuary
The Seal of Sanctuary embodies protection and steadfast guardianship. Sanctuary Warrants strengthen defensive abilities, protective magic, auras, shields, and any feature that places you between danger and those under your care. As your mastery grows, the Sanctuary Seal allows your protection to shelter ever greater numbers of allies.
Seal of Challenge
The Seal of Challenge embodies courage and confrontation. Challenge Warrants compel enemies, reinforce leadership, and enhance abilities that draw danger toward yourself rather than others. As your mastery grows, the Challenge Seal allows your presence alone to command the attention of friend and foe alike.
Seal of Binding
The Seal of Binding embodies restraint and lawful authority. Binding Warrants enhance abilities that hinder movement, restrain dangerous foes, imprison corruption, or prevent escape from rightful justice. As your mastery grows, the Binding Seal grants ever greater control over those who would flee responsibility.
Seal of Absolution
The Seal of Absolution embodies purification, reconciliation, and restoration. Absolution Warrants enhance abilities that remove curses, dispel corruption, restore balance, and heal spiritual wounds. As your mastery grows, the Absolution Seal becomes an increasingly powerful instrument against corruption in all its forms.
Although every Oathsworn bears the same six expressions of sacred authority, no two exercise them in precisely the same way. One champion may express Judgment through swift execution of the wicked, while another sees Judgment as offering redemption before condemnation. Though their methods differ, both issue Warrants through the same sacred authority.
As you gain levels in this class, your Sacred Seals grow alongside your experience. Individual class features describe how specific Seals evolve, granting additional benefits to every Sacred Warrant issued through them.
The Burden of Authority
Sacred authority always carries a price.
Every time an Oathsworn chooses to issue a Sacred Warrant, they willingly accept responsibility beyond what ordinary action requires. A simple sword stroke becomes an act of Judgment. A healing touch becomes an act of Mercy. A protective stance becomes an act of Sanctuary. By choosing to channel sacred authority, the Oathsworn declares that the outcome of that moment is a burden they will personally bear.
This choice defines the Oathsworn unlike any other champion of the Veil.
Other heroes may reserve strength, conserve magical power, or weigh tactical advantage. The Oathsworn must instead decide whether a moment deserves the weight of sacred authority. Every Warrant issued represents another burden freely accepted in faithful service to their oath.
Veiled Play. Whenever you choose to issue a Sacred Warrant, you gain 1 Arousal after the Warrant has been resolved unless that Warrant states otherwise.
Unveiled Play. Every Sacred Warrant carries both mechanical and emotional consequences. As your Arousal rises, each additional Warrant represents another burden willingly accepted in faithful service to your oath. This mounting emotional weight ultimately culminates in Vindication, as described earlier in this class.
Sacred Oath
1st-Level Oathsworn Feature
Before an Oathsworn can exercise sacred authority, they must first swear the promise that will define their life. This sacred oath is freely chosen and serves as the foundation of every judgment, sacrifice, and act of devotion that follows. While many Oathsworn dedicate themselves to ideals such as justice, mercy, guardianship, or redemption, no two oaths are ever truly identical. Each reflects the deeply personal conviction that gives the Oathsworn strength.
Your oath is more than a statement of belief. It is the lens through which you view the world and the measure by which you judge your own actions. Whenever doubt, temptation, or hardship arises, your oath reminds you why your burdens are worth bearing.
At 3rd level, you formally embrace a Sacred Oath, choosing one from those presented at the end of this class. Your chosen Sacred Oath grants additional features at 3rd level and again at 7th, 15th, and 20th level, reflecting the unique philosophy through which you exercise sacred authority.
Until then, your character is considered an Oathsworn in training, faithfully living according to the promise they have already sworn while learning to wield the sacred authority entrusted to them.
Sacred Seals
1st-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your fidelity has earned you the right to bear Sacred Seals, the living conduits through which your sacred authority is exercised.
You begin play with two Sacred Seals of your choice from the six Sacred Seals described earlier in this class. You gain additional Sacred Seals as you gain levels in this class, as shown on the Oathsworn class table.
Each Sacred Seal represents one of the six expressions of sacred authority:
- Judgment
- Mercy
- Sanctuary
- Challenge
- Binding
- Absolution
A Sacred Seal allows you to issue Sacred Warrants belonging to that Seal’s authority. You learn a number of Sacred Warrants as shown on the Oathsworn class table. Whenever you learn a new Sacred Warrant, it must belong to a Sacred Seal you possess.
Issuing a Sacred Warrant
Whenever you meet the triggering conditions for a Sacred Warrant you know, you may choose to issue that Warrant. Issuing a Sacred Warrant is always voluntary. To issue a Warrant, you channel it through an appropriate unexpended Sacred Seal. Unless otherwise stated, issuing a Warrant expends the Sacred Seal used to channel it until that Seal is restored.
You regain all expended Sacred Seals when you finish a long rest.
Some class features, Sacred Oaths, Sacred Warrants, or moments of Vindication restore expended Sacred Seals. Unless a Warrant states otherwise, you may issue only one Sacred Warrant as part of a single action, bonus action, reaction, spell, attack, or class feature.
Growing Authority
As you gain levels in this class, your Sacred Seals mature alongside your experience. Many class features improve one or more Sacred Seals directly. Whenever a Sacred Seal improves, every Sacred Warrant issued through that Seal gains the benefits described by the improving feature.
In this way, an Oathsworn’s authority grows not only by learning new Sacred Warrants, but by deepening mastery over the Sacred Seals through which those Warrants are issued.
Lay on Hands
1st-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your unwavering fidelity allows you to channel the restorative authority of the Veil through your hands, mending wounds and easing suffering.
You possess a pool of healing power that replenishes when you finish a long rest. With that pool, you can restore a total number of hit points equal to 5 × your Oathsworn level.
As a Magic action, you touch a creature and draw power from this pool to restore a number of hit points to that creature, up to the maximum remaining in the pool.
Alternatively, you can expend 5 hit points from the pool to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. You can cure multiple diseases and neutralize multiple poisons with a single use of Lay on Hands, expending hit points separately for each one.
This feature has no effect on undead or constructs.
Your pool of healing power is restored when you finish a long rest.
Veiled Play. When you use Lay on Hands, you may choose to issue a Mercy Warrant through an unexpended Seal of Mercy. If you do, resolve the Warrant after the healing is applied.
Unveiled Play. Issuing a Mercy Warrant through Lay on Hands follows the normal rules for issuing Sacred Warrants. Expending your Seal of Mercy increases your Arousal as described under The Burden of Authority, unless the Warrant states otherwise.
Fighting Style
2nd-Level Oathsworn Feature
You adopt a particular style of combat as the foundation of your martial discipline. Choose one of the following Fighting Style options. You can’t take the same Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later gain the option to choose again.
Choose one of the following Fighting Style options:
- Blind Fighting
- Defense
- Dueling
- Great Weapon Fighting
- Interception
- Protection
Spellcasting
2nd-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your unwavering fidelity allows the Veil to answer your sacred calling with divine magic. Unlike arcane spellcasters who master magical theory or primal mystics who draw upon the living world, your magic flows from the sacred promise you have devoted yourself to keeping. Every spell you cast is an expression of your conviction, shaped through faith, purpose, and sacred authority.
See Chapter X for the general rules of spellcasting and the Oathsworn spell list.
Spell Slots
The Oathsworn table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Oathsworn spells of 1st level and higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
Prepared Spells
You prepare the list of Oathsworn spells available for you to cast, choosing from the Oathsworn spell list. When you do so, choose a number of Oathsworn spells equal to your Charisma modifier + half your Oathsworn level (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.
Whenever you finish a long rest, you may change your list of prepared spells.
Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your Oathsworn spells, since your magic reflects the strength of your sacred conviction.
Spell Save DC: 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell Attack Modifier: Your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spellcasting Focus
You can use a holy symbol or another sacred emblem appropriate to your oath as a spellcasting focus for your Oathsworn spells.
Divine Smite
2nd-Level Oathsworn Feature
When your weapon strikes true, you can channel divine power into a devastating blow. Once on each of your turns, immediately after you hit a creature with a melee weapon or an unarmed strike, you can expend one spell slot to deal radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage.
The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. The damage increases by 1d8, to a maximum of 6d8, if the target is a Fiend or an Undead.
Veiled Play. When you use Divine Smite, you may choose to issue a Judgment Warrant through an unexpended Seal of Judgment. If you do, resolve the Warrant after Divine Smite’s damage has been applied.
Unveiled Play. Issuing a Judgment Warrant through Divine Smite follows the normal rules for issuing Sacred Warrants. Expending your Seal of Judgment increases your Arousal as described under The Burden of Authority, unless the Warrant states otherwise.
Sacred Oath
3rd-Level Oathsworn Feature
As your experience grows, your sacred promise becomes more clearly defined. Though you have faithfully lived according to your oath since beginning your journey, you now fully embrace the sacred calling that will shape your authority for the rest of your life.
Choose a Sacred Oath from those presented at the end of this class. Each Sacred Oath represents a different philosophy of sacred authority. Some Oathsworn become unwavering guardians who place themselves between danger and the innocent, while others pursue justice with relentless determination, seek redemption through compassion, or dedicate themselves to preserving sacred traditions.
Your chosen Sacred Oath grants you features at 3rd level and again at 7th, 15th, and 20th level.
Regardless of the path you choose, every Sacred Oath is founded upon the same enduring truth:
Authority is earned through fidelity.
Channel Divinity
3rd-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your unwavering devotion allows you to channel divine power directly through your sacred calling. You gain the Channel Divinity options granted by your Sacred Oath. You can use Channel Divinity twice. You regain one expended use when you finish a short or long rest.
Some Channel Divinity options require a creature to make a saving throw. The saving throw DC equals your Oathsworn spell save DC. Beginning at 11th level, you can use your Channel Divinity three times before requiring rest.
Veiled Play. When you use a Channel Divinity option, you may choose to issue a Sacred Warrant through an appropriate unexpended Sacred Seal if that Warrant can augment the Channel Divinity option being used.
Unveiled Play. Issuing a Sacred Warrant as part of a Channel Divinity follows the normal rules for issuing Sacred Warrants. Expend the appropriate Sacred Seal, apply the Warrant’s effects, and increase your Arousal as described under The Burden of Authority, unless the Warrant states otherwise.
Ability Score Improvement
4th-Level Oathsworn Feature
When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you cannot increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, if your table uses feats, you may choose a feat for which you qualify instead of increasing your ability scores.
Extra Attack
5th-Level Oathsworn Feature
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Aura of Protection
6th-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your unwavering fidelity strengthens those who stand beside you. While you are conscious, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain a bonus to all saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum bonus of +1). A creature can benefit from only one Aura of Protection at a time.
The range of this aura increases to 30 feet when you reach 18th level in this class.
Seal of Sanctuary
Beginning at 6th level, your Seal of Sanctuary grows in strength. Whenever you issue a Sanctuary Warrant that augments a feature, spell, or ability that protects another creature, the protected creature gains Temporary Hit Points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Ability Score Improvement

If a frightened creature enters the aura, that condition is suppressed while it remains within the aura. A creature can benefit from only one Aura of Courage at a time.
The range of this aura increases to 30 feet when you reach 18th level in this class.
Seal of Challenge
Beginning at 10th level, your Seal of Challenge becomes an unmistakable symbol of unwavering resolve. Whenever you issue a Challenge Warrant, creatures affected by that Warrant have disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the start of your next turn, unless the Warrant states otherwise.
Improved Divine Smite
11th-Level Oathsworn Feature
The sacred authority flowing through your oath empowers every righteous strike you deliver. Once on each of your turns, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon or an unarmed strike, the target takes an extra 1d8 radiant damage. If the target is a Fiend or an Undead, the extra radiant damage increases to 2d8.
Seal of Judgment
Beginning at 11th level, your Seal of Judgment reaches a new level of mastery. Whenever you issue a Judgment Warrant that augments a melee weapon attack or Divine Smite, add your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1) as additional radiant damage. If the attack reduces the target to 0 hit points, you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Charisma modifier.
Ability Score Improvement
12th-Level Oathsworn Feature
When you reach 12th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. Seal of Mercy
12th-Level Oathsworn Feature

If the Mercy Warrant already grants Temporary Hit Points, increase those Temporary Hit Points by your Charisma modifier instead.
4th-Level Spells
13th-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your connection to the Veil deepens, allowing you to prepare and cast 4th-level Oathsworn spells.
Purifying Touch
14th-Level Oathsworn Feature
Your sacred authority is capable of driving away even the deepest spiritual corruption. As a Magic action, you touch a willing creature and end one spell affecting it. The spell’s level must be no higher than one-half your Oathsworn level (rounded down). You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Seal of Absolution
Beginning at 14th level, your Seal of Absolution becomes a powerful instrument of restoration. Whenever you issue an Absolution Warrant, the target also ends one of the following conditions affecting it:
- Blinded
- Charmed
- Deafened
- Frightened
- Paralyzed
- Poisoned
If the Warrant already removes one of these conditions, this benefit has no additional effect.
Veiled Play. You may issue an Absolution Warrant through your Seal of Absolution as part of using this feature.
Unveiled Play. Issuing an Absolution Warrant follows the normal rules for Sacred Warrants and increases your Arousal as described under The Burden of Authority, unless the Warrant states otherwise.
