Description
You reinforce the target’s balance with a brief surge of muscular rhythm. Reduce the distance the target would be moved unwillingly by 10 feet, to a minimum of 0 feet. This spell cannot prevent teleportation or forced movement produced by a creature carrying or grappling the target. The target must be a creature you can see when the trigger occurs.
At Higher Levels. When cast with a slot of 2nd level or higher, increase the reduction by 5 feet for each slot above 1st.
Velvet Court Devotion. Solynth. Solynth’s devotees call this bracing of another’s stance the offering of a steady hand: soft submission can be an act of service, not helplessness.
Devotional Rite. If the protected creature is willing, it may whisper a chosen word of thanks while the spell resolves. If it does, you may let the spell’s visible energy resemble a hand supporting its shoulders; this is cosmetic and creates no obligation.
- Veiled Effects. If the movement is reduced to 0 and the protected creature is willing, it may stand from prone without spending movement if it is prone at the end of the triggering effect.
- Unveiled Effects. When this spell prevents at least 5 feet of movement caused by a hostile creature, you may gain 1 Arousal after it resolves. If you do, the willing target gains temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. Alternatively, spend 1 Libido to double the spell’s distance reduction. You cannot choose both enhancements.
