Description
Touch a willing creature with at least one healed or current injury. The target may reveal to you a fleeting sensation from one injury it personally remembers receiving during the past 24 hours: the damage type, whether the injury came from a weapon or another source, and the direction from which it was struck if known to the creature. The spell cannot reconstruct an event the target did not perceive or expose memories without its cooperation.
Velvet Court Devotion. Threxia. Threxia’s body-writing traditions honor tattooed memory, ritual piercing and the right to reinterpret an old wound without reexperiencing it.
Devotional Rite. The willing subject may describe the sensation symbolically instead of as physical pain, and the caster receives the same permitted factual clues. The spell cannot force the target to relive trauma or reveal a memory it declines to share.
- Veiled Effects. The creature may choose to convey only one of the details instead of all of them. You know which detail it withheld, but not its contents.
- Unveiled Effects. If the shared sensation gives you actionable information about an attacker the group is presently investigating, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, the willing target may reduce its Arousal by 1. This spell never induces pain or repeats the injury.
