Description
Choose one willing creature within range. For the duration, you and it may communicate silently by sending brief emotions or single images to each other while within 120 feet. Neither participant receives private thoughts without voluntary transmission, and no message can compel behavior. Either participant may end the spell without an action. This communication is blocked by total cover made of lead.
Velvet Court Devotion. Eshthara. Eshthara’s trance-priests treat dream-sharing as guided attention between willing minds, not the theft of secrets or the power to command affection.
Devotional Rite. When casting, the two willing participants may choose a harmless shared anchor image. Once before the spell ends, either can use its reaction to recall that image, gaining advantage on a saving throw against being frightened if it makes the save before the beginning of its next turn. This rite works once per casting.
- Veiled Effects. Once during the spell, either participant may signal an immediate request for help, causing the other to become aware of its direction if both remain within 120 feet.
- Unveiled Effects. When the other participant voluntarily shares an image revealing a genuine danger that you were unaware of, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, that participant has advantage on its next saving throw against being frightened before the spell ends. A single casting can grant this gain only once.
“An invitation is strongest when the door opens both ways.”
