Description
For the duration, you sense the presence, but not precise location, of living creatures within 15 feet of you that are not behind total cover. You know whether there are one, two, or three or more such creatures. Constructs, undead, and effects that suppress detection by divination are not perceived. The spell does not reveal alignment, thoughts, identity, or whether creatures are hidden.
Velvet Court Devotion. Delavira. Delavira’s luxury devotees practice anticipation and carefully chosen distance. Sensing someone’s physical warmth is not permission to trespass into their privacy.
Devotional Rite. Once during the spell, you may voluntarily suppress your awareness of a willing creature’s presence for one round. If that creature has also consented, it gains advantage on one Dexterity (Stealth) check to move away from you while you suppress the sense. This rite does not hide it from anyone else.
- Veiled Effects. As an action, you may focus on one direction and learn whether the nearest sensed creature in that direction is moving toward or away from you.
- Unveiled Effects. Once per casting, when a previously undetected hostile creature enters the radius and the spell alerts you, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, you have advantage on the next Wisdom (Perception) check to locate that creature before the end of your next turn.
“Warmth announces what shadows deny.”
