Description
You touch a blank page and designate up to three willing creatures within 10 feet. For the duration, whenever one of those creatures speaks a promise while touching the page, the exact spoken words appear as ordinary readable ink in the speaker’s language. The spell does not guarantee truthfulness, bind anyone to a promise, identify an unseen speaker, or transcribe anything not spoken voluntarily. The writing remains after the spell ends.
Velvet Court Devotion. Mirellune. Mirellune’s vow-keepers value ceremonial contracts, leather-bound books and freely undertaken service. The signature is powerful only while the signer owns its choice.
Devotional Rite. A willing signer may use its action while touching the page to draw a line through its own recorded promise. The written words remain legible, with ‘withdrawn’ visible beneath them. This action releases no magical penalty and never enforces the promise.
- Veiled Effects. A creature that signed the page may use its action to underline its own words with a harmless glow that fades after a minute, making authorship easier to show without revealing feelings.
- Unveiled Effects. Once during the spell, if an eligible creature freely chooses to disclose a meaningful fact it had kept hidden and places that fact on the page, you may gain 1 Arousal. If you do, that creature may reduce its Arousal by 1. No creature can be forced to make this disclosure by the spell.
“Consent makes a promise worth remembering.”
